as much as i do not agree with the senator's beliefs about what constitues abortion, i've met a lot of people like him whose faith i am in variance with. i honestly do not mind. he can practice his beliefs as much as he wants, and as long as it does not step on the rights and beliefs of other people, the there should be no harm in that.
what is worrisome is the fact that he is in a position wherein he crafts laws that should be followed by an entire country; a country that might not subscribe to his own personal beliefs. how will he position himself in such matters? and what will his views on what is "right" and what is "wrong"?
- vote in accordance to the what the majority believes is right and be a true representative of his consituents while betraying his beliefs?
- or follow his personal convictions and lose touch with reality and betray the people that voted him into power?
his next moves will be something interesting to watch. another reminder to the voting public to know the people you are voting for and make sure they represent you.
