Were you running on dual channel memory mode before the additional Ram? Basin na himong single channel when you added the new Ram so it would indeed run slower. The solution would be to add another stick so paired imo tanan memory. Hope this helps

Mostly ani nga scenario TS possibly ang imong gi add-up nga RAM ang naka downclock sa over all Frequency sa total RAM,

Ex. 512 MB DDR 400 MHZ nya imong giparesan ug 512 MB DDR 333 or 266 MHZ, the total RAM would be 1024 MB or 1 GB but the frequency will be downclocked to 333 or 266 MHZ, basin mao ni TS, try to check kuno ug pareha ra ba sila ug specifications kay basin na downclocked na imong RAMS...

isa sad ni sa rason nga kung mahimo identical gyud ang RAMS (Frequencies, timings, Mem voltages) to avoid this scenario... supposed to be mukusog, muhinay na nu-on...
