It should be understood that the reason why Jesus and the apostles quoted from the scriptures is to show that what He is doing or saying is IN FULFILLMENT of the scriptures. He recognizes the old testament and the new testament connects very wonderfully to it. Ang apocrypha mag lubog lubog lang ani. A sensible person would not expect the new testament to contain everything in the old testament.

Simply put, if the koran talks about peace and in the new testament peace is also mentioned, that does not mean that koran and the bible is connected. Murag sayon sayon na siguro ni sabton.

Asa mang partiha sa new testament nga niingon si Jesus 'I quote from the book of Numbers' or 'This is taken from the book of Ezra' ? ASA MAN?

Kun wala kay mabasa, so wala diay pud mag-quote si Jesus sa old testament books of Numbers and Ezra. So kun imong illogic atong sundon, wala lugar pud gi-recognize ni Jesus ang book of Numbers ug Ezra. Mao na ni ron.
mao na ni ron hahaha, mao bitaw ingon ko sa previous post nako nga Habol iyang logic.

Asa mang bahina sa old testament ninyong mga protestante imong mabasa kanang laying up of treasures in heaven? Sa scriptures nga gigamit sa mga early christians, even by the educated people at the time of Jesus imo ning mabasahan:

    Ecclesiasticus (Sirach) 29:13
Place thy treasure in the commandments of the most High, and it shall bring thee more profit than gold.

Isn't it wonderful?

But the church, the pillar and foundation of truth, knows from the beginning that the deuterocanon (apocrypha, as you like to call it) books are part of the scriptures used by early christians.

It is really ironic that you trust/accept the catholic church declaration on the canonicity of the books of new testament yet you continuously attack the same authority who includes the deuterocanonical books in the bible simply because you don't like her teachings.

Wala nimo mabantayi nga kun pananglit dili kasaligan ang catholic church, dili pud kasaligan ang iyang decision sa pagpili sa mga basahon nga iapil sa bible (including the new testament)?

Good you finally realized it. The same logic applies to deuterocanonical books as well.

The old testament has 66 books while the new testament only has 27. Therefore it is not logical that all the books of the old testament would be referred to in the new testament. The old testament was written by Moses, David, Solomon, minor prophets and major prophets. Men of God who were inspired by God. Some parts of these scriptures would later on be quoted by Jesus and His apostles in the new testament to show that what He is doing fulfills the old testament.

The simple truth is, the old testament is different and is not part of the apocrypha books. Neither is it the apocrypha part of the new testament. Those that have read the bible appreciate that the old testament connects to the new testament and both do not contradict each other. On the other hand, apocrypha books contains parts that contradict basic scripture and doctrine.

1 timothy 3:15 so that if I am delayed, you will know how people must conduct themselves in the household of God. This is the church of the living God, which is the pillar and foundation of the truth.

Paul wrote this to Timothy in the early days of Christianity. Church history (this thread) teaches us that the ROMAN catholic church was instituted only after 312 a.d. when constantine the roman emperor adopted it in the roman empire.

FYI, church means the body of christ. Pure and without stain. It does not necessarily say that it is the RCC.
