Bro...dili lage dapat ma interchange or ma misunderstood ang DISCRIMINATION ug ang DISCRETION particularly in this case.

Part of the guidelines followed by the AABB (American Association of Blood Banks) nga mao pud gifollow by most countries around the world is to check the LIFESTYLE of the donor to assess the risk for HIV, Hepa and other blood-transmissible diseases. Ang nakakuyaw lang gyud sa HIV is that naa siyay window period in which the person already has the virus, bag-o pa natakdan, but wala pa kaproduce ug antibodies against it. Ang screening tests available to us karun check for the ANTIBODY. So if the person is still in the window period, makalusot gyud sa screening test, makadonate sa iyang blood and makatakod sa patient. And the number of cases sa HIV are rising fast. DOH-RBC now has 5-6 positive screening results monthly this year, compared sa 1-2 every couple of months 2 years ago.
