personally im proud to be a bisdak but i cannot just ride the taste of our music much more na ron na low kaayo ang profile og quality sa bisrock.. sorry guys but bisrock is really going down... ato nalang na angkonon gud..

bisaya rock as 'kalye ra kaayo'

among the first things we did when we arrived in tagbilaran city in bohol last friday was to visit two fm stations for interviews. the first one was fine. but the second station was more interesting. the dj saw in our visit a chance to air out his opinion about this thing called, ahmmm, "bisrock." here's an excerpt:

dj: ladies and gentlemen, here's the band that gave you the hits like suroy-suroy, englisera, sine-sine, inday, prinsipal and many more... please welcome.... missing filemon..

(applause, cheers from studio crowd, mostly from our entourage)

dj: so why don't you introduce yourselves guys, and your roles in the band.


ako: hi, i'm insoy. guitars, vocals.

cocoy: hello i'm cocoy, guitars

eimer: i'm eimer, drums

ako: our bass guitarist, ronron, naglangoy pa padung diri. he'll be here in time for the show (ronron had to take a late afternoon trip because of work)


dj: so, how old is the band?

ako: four years old

dj: how do you describe your music? many bands are into bisaya now, but they all sound the same. how are you different from them?

ako: our music...


dj: nice songs but mora'g pang-kalye lang kaayo... most bisrock bands...
ako: it's actually what defines our music.. pangkalye, pang-istambay, pang-masa. that's actually how we wanted our music to be when we started..

dj: you are considered pioneers of bisrock. what can you say about that?

ako: i don't think we can consider ourselves pioneers. naay daghang banda nag-una namo nga nagbinisaya.


dj: when you write your songs, what do you have in mind? what inspires you guys?


kami tulo: mga uyab namo...

ako: mga istambay, mga tawo sa kalye, mga ordinaryong panghitabo, labi na sa mga batan-on..

dj: yeah, that's why.. pangkalye siya... now why don't you invite our listeners to tonight's show....

and we invited his listeners, and we left the booth, and we drove back to our hotel, passing through eskinitas where our music really belonged.

yes mister dj, we are your pangkalye band of all time. and we're sooooo proud of that. and fix your shirt please. the buttons are in the wrong holes.

di na nimu masave ang bisrak oi...imajina ni nga analogy...ang bisrak, mura ranag lawas sa tawo...daghan siyag sistema, mga parts og mga butang na di anagy hilabtan ,kay kundi mamatay ang lawas....sige, muni akong punto, kung sige rakag kaon og tai, di kaha ka mamataymura na xa....

with all due respect jud to Insoy bai!.... idol jd na nako siya!... ang amo lang jung gi pang igo sa mga "diss" (kung mtawag mn ka diss) kay ang mga posers!... nga walay laing gibuhat kung di ang mag hugaw hugaw ug mosakay sa uso!.. db?!..

Insoy is a great man!... pero ang uban nga mga posers ( kaila mo kinsa mo! )... you can save bisrock by getting a life!
