the GTX 570 is 2% slower overall than the 6970 on 1920x1200

6970 is better cause it has more RAM + it runs better on higher resolutions

for Nvidia mainly: Cuda + better 3D support... and for AMD mainly the Eyefinity option that they have

the 570 is the better choice out of the two in terms of raw performance average with your resolution (the 6970 will shine over the 570 @ 2560 / multiple-monitor setups mainly

a 570 is hands down the best decision (because the games are optimized for it's architecture) in a single card format.

They are both about the same speed but the 6970 wins due to single card eyefinity and 2 of them in crossfire cream 2 570's in sli and quite often beat sli'd 580's too.
