I don't condone what Byron did coz he overreacted for sure. But I am very surprised and troubled that no one has thought of this incident as I do. The American had no right to block the road no matter what he says. And he was also most probably very abrasive, self-righteous and insulting when talking to Byron. We might have our own political beliefs and some people may love Byron and some may hate him. But one huge reason why the Philippines is still a poor third world country is because we Filipinos let foreigners step all over us even in our own land. It has happened millions of times and is still happening everyday. While Byron may have overreacted and even if I don't like him, I laud him and respect him for fighting for the rights of us Filipinos. If all of us will just set politics aside for the common good and stand up to abusive foreigners like Byron did, we can be sure our country would be a better place to live in.
