My point is quakes happen anytime somewhere, anywhere with or without a comet.

You can see how many quakes happen in a day- months. tan.awa ang alaska.

this week naay 7.4 near australia.
here's a list of strong quakes that happen this month. wala nako giapil sa australia dapit.

Of course earthquakes happen all the time around the world. Was I questioning that? And I have looked at those also, long before you gave me the link. Naa ba kay na notice pag tan-aw nimo sa USGS earthquake world map or imo lang gi present just for the sake of pointing out nga naay linog everyday?

If you have not noticed anything sa world earthquake map, I'll have someone elaborate it for you.

Earthquake in California March 19th THIS SATURDAY 2011 (Ring of Fire) - YouTube

My point is this, most big earthquakes happen because of changes in the magnetic field caused by the moon. Could the alignments cause the earthquakes on the list? Maybe. Maybe not. But, if Elenin is as big as what most people say, it might interfere with the earth's magnetic field thus creating huge earthquakes.

UHM I think you mean tides?

Let me use your name and find wiki.
    CLICK THIS WIKI LINK PLEASE
Earthquake - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An earthquake (also known as a quake, tremor or temblor) is the result of a sudden release of energy in the Earth's crust that creates seismic waves.

"An earthquake (also known as a quake, tremor or temblor) is the result of a sudden release of energy in the Earth's crust that creates seismic waves."

Correct. But what is an earthquake again? A RESULT. A result of what? Cause and effect bai, an earthquake is the effect, read below on what causes (or triggers) an earthquake.

"researchers from Beijing Normal University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences found a significant relationship between tidal forces and earthquakes in China and Taiwan. The paper considered the relationship between 21 major earthquakes (Ms ≥ 7.0) in land and the offshore area of Taiwan island in the 20th century and the variance ratio of the lunar–solar tidal force. The result indicated that the time of these earthquakes is closely related to the variance ratio of the lunar–solar tidal force, and therefore that the tidal force possibly plays an important role in triggering earthquakes." Earthquake prediction - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mao sad ni sa Solar force, check the dates bai on the lower left http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/data/...current_c2.mpg

Additionally, you need to read carefully bai, I didn't say ALL earthquakes, I said MOST big earthquakes.

huh? wa koy idea sa akong gibuhat? Look at the link I gave you. it was the whole definition and classification of earthquakes. What else should I elaborate na kataas na atong link.

A result of sudden release of energy bai caused by the tectonic plates sa earth's crust.

The link you provided is still a theory and is not a solid fact that tides can cause or trigger earthquakes.

Theory, yes, but that doesn't change the fact that they've spent a great deal of time to come up with that theory.

Naa pay usa oh, gikan sa UCLA Strong Earth Tides Can Trigger Earthquakes, UCLA Scientists Report

You have to keep in mind nga dili ni gikan nako bai, these information came from scientist, mga tao nga dili basta-basta.

.Unsa may HINUNGDAN?

    Another analogy 1 + 1 = 2. Unsa may HINUNGDAN nga naay 2 (RESULTA)? Tungod sa 1 + 1.

    Klaro na ba bai?

The Science of Earthquakes -USGS bai.

An earthquake is what happens when two blocks of the earth suddenly slip past one another. The surface where they slip is called the fault or fault plane. The location below the earth’s surface where the earthquake starts is called the hypocenter, and the location directly above it on the surface of the earth is called the epicenter.

DONT TELL ME YOU THINK MOON TRIGGERs an earthquake? and you dont know the causes of quakes

After googling Elenin.... I've found out it's just a 3.5 kilometer wide comet. gosh kagamay raman diay ani oi. nya dili man diay ni moduol sa earth.

A comet is nothing like a brown dwarf. You are correct that the way astronomers measure the mass of one object is by its gravitational effect on another, but comets are far too small to have a measurable influence on anything,"

"So you've got a modest-sized icy dirtball that is getting no closer than 35 million kilometers," said Yeomans. "It will have an immeasurably minuscule influence on our planet. By comparison, my subcompact automobile exerts a greater influence on the ocean's tides than comet Elenin ever will."

I believe that the gravitational force of the Moon, which causes tides here on earth, can (can does not mean always) trigger earthquakes (again, it's not me who's saying this, scientist ang nag ingon ana Strong Earth Tides Can Trigger Earthquakes, UCLA Scientists Report).

Do I believe the Moon causes earthquakes? No.
Do I believe the gravitational force of the Moon can cause earthquake? Yes.

Please lang bai, ayaw intaw ko taga-i ug article nga pang bata oi, that article was written for kids bai, not adults.
