Don't worry, no offense being taken. We cannot force you to believe in Jesus as GOD. Moden catholics respects other's belief and we don't label others as unbelievers, damned, etc...just because their belief is different than ours.

With that note, I would also like to remind you that the purpose of this thread is to answer questions about the roman catholic church. This is not the right place to preach nor to force anybody to accept the things being mentioned here. If you don't like the answer, then leave it as it is.

Thanks, bro! I had been thinking about the right term that some of our muslim bros/sis use to label those who have not embraced Islam. But not all of them, though. I have also muslim friends who are very tolerant and respectful.

I once had a discussion about GOD with a muslim authority in Saudi and he became very angry the moment I started asking questions about his understanding on the nature of GOD.

But many a time Jesus has made separations between himself and Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala). He's unique and praise and worship is due only to Him. I dunno you guys, it just makes more sense to me >_<

You are correct, there is ONLY ONE GOD and the worship is due only to this ONE GOD. With the ONLY ONE GOD, nothing is impossible. So when HE says that Jesus is both GOD and human, and that there are three persons in ONE GOD, it may sound difficult and awkward but it would be arrogant to say that it is impossible.

When our arithmetic teacher told us that 1 X 1 is 1 (not 2), did we object? Did we say that it doesn't make sense? Why is that?

I have another question...why didn't we (and I mean we coz I was Catholic) prostrate before God as Jesus, Moses and Muhammad (pbut) did when praying? Why don't Catholics and Christians pray like that too?

What about now that we have already finished higher education? Can we logically conclude that 1 x 1 = 1 doesn't make any sense?

First of all, it would be very shortsighted to assume that GOD won't listen to your prayer even if it really come from your heart just because you didn't prostrate while praying.

Second, there is no official doctrine from the catholic church that stops catholic from performing prostration. I even saw priests doing it. If you feel you can express your prayer more effectively by prostrating, you can very well do so.
