Political Science. If USC or USJ-R ka, you can choose 4 separate tracks/specialization aron dili lang kay pang-Law raka. You can already work even with just Pol-Sci as a finished course.

Political Science - Constitutional Law Bar Subjects, don't know about the rest
Accountancy - Commercial Law Bar Subjects and some Civil Law Bar Subjects especially Obligations and Contracts
Legal Management - Like what the poster mentioned above mentioned
AB English - enables you to know the ins and outs of the english language, there are many ways to change a words position in a sentence but it will modify its meaning, plus you have to consider the context on how the word is used. Good for legal writing and research.
AB Philo - like what the poster before said, good for critical thinking, you develop a system for attacking a problem you gain from your undergrad training in philosophy
Engineering - totally different, needs time to adjust.

I suggest you buy the book "How to Excel in Law School" by Jim V. Lopez. The book gives you an idea of what to expect when going into law school. There are also tips on what you should do to survive law school.

For me, the school can help but I have met other law graduates from other schools not known for their bar passing rate. Also, if you can pass the bar from some of these schools it does make you feel better as compared to the known schools where passing the bar is just mundane and ordinary.

The best practice for law school is to read 6 to 8 hours a day. This is the standard for bar reviewees.

polsci or accountancy. i'm a polsci gruduate then niproceed nakog law di jud lisod kung mag law ka kay naa naka background anang constitutional, criminal, international laws and obligation and contracts. if mag law jud ka much better if you have background sa mga laws aron di ka mag nga-nga kay no more spoon feeding sa law school but don't worry i have classmates that their undergraduate degree is not related to pre law course like engineering, nursing and even priests but still they were able to cope up and some got high grades. depende ra jud na nimo. USJR or USC pre-law course jud ni sila na schools pero sa UP more on social sciences ni sila but i'm not sure now if they already change the curriculum try to inquire lang dito...

    1. Accountancy - Tax/Estate Management lawyers are in demand and they make a lot! + like previous posters said, if you can't proceed, you're already employable.

    2. Legal management - mao'y uso karon, don't know how good it is, but seems like this was designed to be a pre-law course.

    3. PolSci - Well, unless you intend to specialize in constitutional law... to be honest, I don't think it's a good pre-law course. There's a wide rift between law and Political Science, and they're not as related as most people think they are.

^you're wrong mate, Political Science is the study of state, and state got laws, there are no state that has no laws, so therefore Political Science is related to law, very much related, like siblings

Try taking both, and you'll see. The divide is as wide as the Pacific. Political Science is good if you want to be a legislator and constitutional lawyer, but if you want to specialize in criminal, commercial or civil law, it's a lot of bunk (preparatory wise). e.g. we need more Political Scientists to discuss amendments to the constitution, and we have lawyers talking as if they are the same animal.

In other words, choose the pre-law course that helps you achieve what you want to achieve as a lawyer. Yes, PolSci will help budding congressmen and government executives, but you should really consider a different pre-law course if your ambitions lie elsewhere.
