As Christians, we believe that the Bible is the infallible work of God. 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness". We must first remember in discussing the claims of the Bible with anyone, that the Bible is not a single, autonomous work. Rather, it is a collection of 66 different books written over a vast time span in three languages on three continents with authors from every station in life. These ancient works cover every major topic dealing with the human condition including: love, hate, death, sin, marriage, civil laws, and relationships with each other as well as with God. Although these works were written independently, they show an amazing congruency and they never contradict each other!
@siodenz, standard sa Ginoo brod? He sent His only Son Jesus to die on the Cross because of our sins. Because if he had not, no one would be reconciled back to God. All would be lost.
Which clearly shows that faith ALONE is useless. It should be accompanied with good deeds.
James 2:18-20
You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?
And that we have to continuously WORK OUT our salvation with fear and trembling.
Phil 2:12
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
So you dont use your conscience or the so-called common sense to examine if a teaching is from God or Not? Bible per se is Subjective to interpretations mao bitaw daghan nibutho nga religion karun. SO what if imung lider mu sulti about sa iyang interpretations, unsa imu gamiton or basihan para ma determine nimu nga sakto ba jud to nga interpretations?
In Phil 2:12 - working out your salvation is different from working for your salvation. Working out means exercising what you have received (salvation) by doing good works. Have you not noticed na si Apostol Pablo ang author sa Philippians also wrote the following verses shown below (how can he contradict what he is saying in Philippians in the other verses shown below? also the audience for Phil 2:12 is to the Philippians who were already believers):
Romans 3:28 - For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law
Romans 5:1 - Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Romans 10:4- For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Romans 11:6 - And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.
Galatians 2:21- I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.
Ephesians 2:8-9 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
Yes tinuod pero we havent meet Jesus Personally, most sa atung mga teachings karun is from the Interpretations sa nahisuwat sa Biblya, unsaon nimu pagkahibalo if ang teachings sa imung religion which is mostly based on interpretations is really the correct teachings of Jesus?
one example, kanang issue sa Birth control, wa man na gi mention sa Bibliya literally about Birth control pero ni stand ang Catholic based sa interpretations sa mga sinuwat sa Biblya.
@SioDenz - sakto imo sulti bro, mao naay sakto nga steps on how to interpret the Bible. Maraming nagkakamali because they don't read the Bible as a whole. Maraming kailangang tingnan
^^ So ang interpretation lang sa mga baptist ang sakto, bro? Mao ba na imong ipasabot?
