Calling all hobby enthusiasts: want to show off your collections? Or do you want to set up a booth to sell what you have?

Toyphilia will be happening at the SM City Cebu on December 16 (sat) and 17 (sun).

We need your support. The cost to make this event possible will total 60K. not so much sponsors arewilling to pay cash these days, puro x-deals. We would like to ask for your support to make this event push through. We're looking for the following people who might be interested in the following just to help raise funds:

1.) Concessionaires: 20 slots available, for those who want to set up a booth to sell and make money. 2m x 3m approx, P3000 for 2 days

2.) Exhibitors: 12 slots available, to show off your collections. 2m x 2m approx, P1000 for 2 days.

3.) Contests:
Photo contest: registration P250 per entry. prizes to be announced later. theme: all about toys
Drawing Contest: registration P250. prizes to be announced later. theme: design your own super hero
Cosplay: registration P250.prizes to be announced later. theme: any character related to toys, must be customized, not ready made.
Customized toy contest and diorama making contest: registraion P250. you know the drill.

Drawing contest
Was thinking of "Superhero design contest" para the contest will be based on creativity and not on skill. alkansi man ang uban na banga mu drawing nya nindut ug idea. what do you think?

Costume Play Contest

Show off yourselves wearing costumes of your favorite fictional character at the Toyphilia 2006 at SM Conference Room C on December 16, 2006!

Categories

· Male
· Female

Mechanics & General Expectations

1. This contest is open to ages 7 up; however, contestants ages 12 and below must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

2. To join, simply register for the Cosplay contest at the entrance. Contest registration fee is P 250.00 <inclusive of entrance fee for two days>.

3. Cosplay registration is from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon on December 16, 2007.

4. The following information must be available when registering:

· Name
· Age
· Gender
· Name of the character you’re playing and its source (i.e., title of anime, animated cartoon, sci-fi or fantasy TV or movie, comic book, video or PC game, etc.)
· Reference picture (e.g., photo, magazine cutout, etc.) of the character you’re cosplaying. Costumes or characters of your own design are not allowed.

5. The costume must be appropriate for a public setting. Please see Terms and Conditions.

6. Dangerous (e.g., real guns, real swords, fireworks, etc.) and messy (e.g., confetti, water bombs, etc.) props are not allowed.

7. Although not part of the criteria, the contestants are encouraged to be in their character inside the venue (i.e., act and speak like the character you’re playing).

8. You may also want to let people take pictures of you so strike your best pose whenever photo opportunities arise.

Cosplay Proper

1. Wait for your name to be called before going up the stage.

2. Once up the stage, you are told to begin your play for a minimum of <? Seconds>.

3. The Board of Judges has the right to ask you to stay longer so they can take a longer look at your costume. You may then continue your cosplay until told to stop.

4. Please exit the stage with energy.


Criteria for Judging

· Workmanship (60%) – Your costume is detailed, uses the right materials to maximum effect, and is mostly self-made.

· Audience impact (20%) – Your ability to impress the crowd with your true-to-character portrayal.

· Resemblance to character portrayed (20%) – Being facially alike the character you’re playing is a plus factor.

Terms and Conditions

· The <organizers> may photograph the contestants at its discretion during the two-day convention. Entry into this contest constitutes agreement by the contestants that allow the <organizers> to use their likeness/image, etc. in any current/future advertisement, or promotion.

· All photos will become the property of the <organizers>, which will have full rights and copyright privileges thereafter.

· All non-winning cosplayers will be given <what are the consolation prizes?>

· The <organizers> reserve the right to disqualify any contestant whose costume is deemed inappropriate for the contest (e.g., too sexy for a public setting, pornographic, racist, sexist, libelous, disrespectful to other religions, etc.)

· Failure to comply with the rules and regulations shall automatically disqualify the contestant.

· All decisions of the Board of Judges shall be final and cannot be appealed.
