naa mn gd ko na read sir na manual tranny iyang MONT, tga manila cya.. pag shift nya to third gear, ni accelerate ang MONT, so iya gi remove iyang foot sa pedal, nya ang rpm nag ka taas...

so iya gi apply ang brakes, ni work daw pero powerful pa ang engine ky sa brake. so iya gi neutral ang unit, then ang RPM ni saka og samot.

so ni padaplin cya, then iya gi off ang engine. pag on nya balik, na wala rpd ang pag wild sa makina.

well.. probably naa pd ka point.. pero lisud lang kng nag ka daghan ang accident...

Nagkadaghan man gud bro ang incident. Di ba duna man gani incident ini sa SM Cebu. And it is to good to be true kung pirmeng pasanginlan nga accelerator pedal ang gitamakan instead of the brake. Gamay ra kaayo ang surface area sa gasolinador which is by the way vertical. Gipalapad ug maayo ang design sa brake pedal, horizontally to ensure nga incase ug makuratan ang driver, dako ang chances nga mas matamakan niya ang brake pedal kay sa gasolinador. kung ingon ini ang reasoning nganung wa may similar incidents sa ubang competitor models?

its hard for me to believe ky wa pa jud ni nahitabo nq...maybe until then d ghpon ko mo tuo...unless i hear an official statement from mitsubishi..sayon ra kaau e blame ang auto to get out of trouble...this is just giving drivers more reason to get a get out of jail card..

it will feel like "sudden" acceleration gyud if you press on the accelerator really hard thinking na brake to imo gitamakan. this is what happened to me and my montero, mulupad jud ang imong sakyanan. my father's montero is 2 years old na and wala jud problema like this.

the Montero Sport is the 2nd highest selling car in Philippines last 2010 (next to Vios). sa kadaghan sa Montero sa Pilipinas, gamay ra kaayo ni nga percent ang naay problem with sudden acceleration "daw". if tinuod jud ni nga inherent problem with the Montero, daghan untag nangadamag na montero kada-adlaw and wa na unta ni halin.

my take is this, maybe tinood ang uban naa jud siguro problema mechanically ila montero mao nabangga sila. but this has to be proven pa jud. kay based sa testing sa kato isa nga nabannga, dili man mechanical ang error. naay uban i think na mu sakay nalang sa bandwagon so mao sad ang gamiton na rason if ma-bangga sila.

i own a montero myself, so i should be the 1st one na ma worry ug maayo, sakyan gud na sa akong entire family, so i should be very concerned of their safety. but honestly, wala jud ko nakuyawan sa akong sakyanan. ning release na ug statement ang mitsubishi about this, and i believe them.

Good luck to you bro in that case. I hope nga wa nay incident nga mausab. Ang mitsubishi di man sad gyud na mo release ug statement nga derogatory sa ilang produkto. It's up to the consumer to discern if he has indeed purchased a flawed car.

if there's one thing na medjo kulang sa safety feature sa Monty is that wala siyay "step-on-brake-to-shift" feature.

i think isa ni sa mga reason nganong naay mga disgrasya like this.
