Default LiteOn DVDRW Ultra Slim no driver

I bought LiteOn DVDRW Ultra Slim USB 2.0 in PCX months ago, it came with a disk with Nero 8 Micro inside, but no drivers. Is it normal for external burners not to have drivers? I'm asking because sometimes it burned successfully but it can't read what it burned. I'm using the same a Sony DVDRW. I have to burn the files almost twice each time to get it right.

I wrote LiteOn and they give me a link to download SmartPack v1.21 to update the firmware. But when I download it and check update, no updates available.

yup it is normal. nero is not the driver installer for the external drive.

its a software for you to burn files using the external drive.

automatic ra na ma detect sa PC.

    or so called Plug-N-Play.

Thanks. So this is normal. Been looking for hours for a driver when there isn't one I guess my burning problem isn't a driver issue after all. Yeah, I know what nero is that came with the cd, and it's a micro version too, only 24mb installer, loved it.
