Nilinaw ngayon ni Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao na hindi siya tatakbo bilang bise presidente sa taong 2016, taliwas sa unang napabalita.

Kasabay ng kanyang pagdating sa bansa mula sa promotional tour sa Mexico, Estados Unidos para sa laban kay Juan Manuel Marquez, mismong si Pacman ang nagsabi na hindi pa siya kwalipikado para tumakbo sa pangalawang pinakamataas na posisyon sa bansa sa 2016 presidential elections dahil kulang siya sa edad.

Muli namang kinumpirma ni Pacquiao na balak niyang tumakbo bilang gobernador sa 2013, ngunit sa ngayon ay tinututukan umano nito ang kanyang pagsasanay para sa nakatakdang laban kay Marquez.

Nabatid na habang nasa Mexico, sinabi ni Pacquiao na "Come 2016 I am going to run vice president... No more boxing at that time."

Dahil dito agad na umani ng iba't ibang reaksiyon ang naging pahayag ni Pacman kabilang na ang pagsupalpal ni Comelec chairman Sixto Brillantes kung saan tahasang sinabi nito na hindi kwalipikado si Pacman na tumakbo bilang bise presidente sa 2016 dahil 37-anyos pa lamang ito na kulang sa 40 years old requirement.
