    so u mean... maski ang pci.e 16x naa pa jud agp na mo labaw ana, bahalag 8x ra?

    the AGP technology has not been exhausted yet therefore there is always the possibility that there may be faster card that is AGP based. but that depends if they are still researching on how to enhance the AGP solution.

    buttom line here is that the thread starter wants to keep his current card. and that card is AGP based. he cannot put this card on a PCIE therefore he needs dual support.

    so his question is more like "i have an AGP i want to keep, is there a board that will allow me to have both solutions so that i could upgrade to PCIE later?" and the answer is yes. and it's all up to him to choose between Intel and AMD.

    it is not which is better.

    Yes.

    The 8x AGP and 16x PCI Express you're referring to deals with the bandwidth not the speed sa video card.

    The PCI express bandwidth allows cards to run faster than the limits of the bandwidth sa AGP 8X. But this Does Not mean that all PCI express card will run faster than AGP. As of today, MOST video cards have not saturated the bandwith sa AGP.

    I've used mga ULI dual mobos . I think its a good option for you since wala kaayoy performance penalties for using the AGP sa board. Most other dual card solutions before that reduce the bandwidth sa AGP to the old PCI speeds.

    @vipvip68: i second the motion...

    a 6200LE 128mb trbcache P C I E will NOT outperform a FX6600GT 128ddr tv-dvi 8x AGP

    ahh...okay... na O.T na ta dah...hehee... bitaw pud... wala pa gi maximize ang AGP power... naa jud possiblity..
    for thread starter... nindot jud diay ang double na Vcard for back up incase the other one will fail...
