FG to file perjury raps against Moner

MANILA, Philippines — The camp of former First Gentleman (FG) Jose Miguel Arroyo will file charges of perjury against former Shariah Circuit Court Judge Nagamura Moner for his statements before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee last Tuesday.

Lawyer Inocencio Ferrer Jr., counsel for Mr. Arroyo, also denied Moner’s statements at the Senate in which he alleged Mr. Arroyo’s involvement in the massive cheating in the 2004 elections in favor of former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, upon the prodding and instructions of Mr. Arroyo, and former Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) General Manager Alfonso Cusi.

Moner, in his affidavit and testimony before the Senate, said that he wished to fill in the details of his allegations of electoral fraud in 2005, when he linked Mrs. Arroyo and her husband to election fraud in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
Moner alleged that Cusi was his “handler” in the operations to cheat in the ARMM, and that during the operation, he had at one time talked on the phone to Mr. Arroyo.

in short bro you condone corruption because you got something out of it.

why do we have to let it pass?
do you want someone who has cheated you get away with it?
where is justice there?
do you want it to be the norm in the future?

being a cebuano, i know GMA has done things to cebu and im grateful of that. but wait, Cebu is not only the province that needs help. how about the poor people of eastern visayas, western and southern mindanao where the wealth of the Government is held only by the powerful people especially those who were given during the elections. That money could have gone to infrastructures (schools,hospitals and roads). and to the people who lost their lives. can these people say same thing you said about GMA?

im a Cebuano and im also a Filipino so lets not think about ourselves but of our country as a whole.

The United States government had cited corruption as a key factor behind the Philippines’ weak position in the disputed Spratly Islands in the South China Sea during the Arroyo administration.
An Aug. 1, 2008 confidential US Em-bassy report released by online whistle-blower WikiLeaks took note of allegations that the Arroyo government had agreed to a joint maritime seismic undertaking (JMSU) deal with China in exchange for bribe-tainted loans.
The inclusion of Reed Bank and a large portion of Philippine waters in the coverage area of exploration under the JMSU emboldened China to assert control over the territories long claimed by Manila.
It also cited the former government’s attempts to get Congress




to back off on inclusion of the Spratlys in the Philippine baselines, a position “similarly motivated by illicit Chinese influence.”
“There is widespread suspicion that corruption may influence Philippine policy,” the cable said.

i mean im just trying to see the brighter side pud..i think they're all corrupt mn pd..kinsa my d??naa ba??corrupt mn gne ng naa sa SK and baranggay na ginagmay rana ilaha how much more sa president and other higher positions..we have nothing to do naman ky humana man so tan.awn nlng pud nato ilang nahimo na nindot maski corrupt cla..kysa cge tag panghimantay sa sayop sa uban and to the point nga wala nlng tay mahimo pud ky nasayang nlng ang time cge panaway..

Wa ko kasabot sa imo gi mean na walay nahimo ato gobyerno.. Pasabta kuno ko? Imagine kuno if our present government has stop functioning even for a day.. And i guess most of the data and opinion coming from international and domestic sectors seem to disagree with your claim or idea..

If you really mean what you posted then it's high time for government to step up more its efforts to hunt down those officials involved and do more in addressing the problem of corruption. How can you say that you are fighting corruption if you're not doing anything and just say ah forgive and forget nalang! I'm saying this because many filipinos including you are openly embracing and accepting the culture of corruption and impunity.. Ok ra diay ang mangawat basta naa lang nabuhat? Omigosh di nako ma describe ang prinsipyo sa ubang tawo diri..

Actually we don't even need the tribune or wikileaks for that, coz obvious man tawon oi that JMSU was designed to favor only one country and that is china. The meeting was so secret, ang mga lakas-kampi officials during that time bahis-bahis lang back and forth between china and philippines.. Obvious kaayo nikalit lang dayon announce na finished product na ang agreement, and almost the same time nikalit lang daghan ang projects sa mga intsik dinhi..
