Ang Bible is not only for reading, it is also for hearing. Ang Word of God diha sa Romans nag refer na sa message sa Gospel nga mabasa ug madunggan gikan sa Bible. Ang Bible or ang Scripture is pulong sa Ginoo. Dili lang ni siya mabasa, madunggan sad kay giwali man.So ang pagtuo naggikan gyud sa pagpaminaw sa pulong sa Ginoo nga mabasa ra sa Bible.

Wala, kay ang kaluwasan dili man pinaagi sa pagbasa sa Bible, pinaagi man sa pagtuo ni Jesus Christ. PERO ingon pa sa ROMANS nga imong gi quote, ang pagtuo nagsugod sa pagpaminaw sa pulong sa Ginoo. So dako ug chance nga maluwas ang kalag kung naminaw ug nibasa siya sa Bible kumpara sa taw nga iya rang gisunod ang iyang pagtuo sa iyang ginikanan, ninuno, without even examining kung kini nga pagtuo iya ba sa Diyos.

Dili ba ang bible is a collection of books from the old testament and the new testament written in a single language?

Kun ang history paistoryahon, the first bible (the collection of manuscripts written in a single language) was assembled by St. Jerome in 382 A.D.

Before that year, there were manuscripts (actually hundreds of them) written in different languages and archaic dialects that talked about the life of Jesus and his disciples.

If you call all these manuscripts as the bible, then you also consider the gnostic gospels (Gospel of Magdalene, Gospel of Judas, Gospel of Thomas) as part of the bible. I'm not sure if the pastor or minister from your church will be happy to hear that.

It was the catholic church, the pillar and foundation of truth, who decided that there are only 27 books (out of those hundreds that talk about Jesus) for the new testament and the gnostic gospels are not one of them.

What is ironic is you keep on bashing the infallible authority of the catholic church yet you accepted its decision on the 27 books that is included in the new testament without any single question.

Well, kun imo ipamugos nga kanang tradition nga gihisgutan anang maong verse is nothing but the Gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, you will be dissapointed to know nga wala pa gisulat ang Gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke ug John anang panahona.

The 2nd Epistle of Paul to the Thessalonians was written at around 52-54 A.D.

The Gospel of Matthew was written in 80-90 A.D. The Gospel of Mark was written at around 64 A.D.

Most bible scholars agreed that the Gospel of Luke was written at around 80-90 A.D. The Gospel of John was written in 90 A.D.

Ako lang ning balikbalikon ha. Ang bible dili intellectual book but spiritual book. Bisan unsan ka pagka bright basta dili ka mo seek ug divine guidance dili ka maka appreciate sa power sa bible.

Kinahanglan man gud ka maka tugkad unsa ang covenants or promise of God in the old and new testaments, unsa ang real message of salvation, unsa ang significance sa cross and the blood of Jesus.

1 Corinthians says:
18 The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. 19 As the Scriptures say,
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise
and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.”

20 So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. 21 Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.

unfortunately A. Hitler views the bible and other ancient scriptures from other religions as source of wisdom to make his weaponry inventions. even scientists, leaders, business men, philosophers, etc...

bible teaches people not only in spiritual but also in different fields like engineering, business, governance, taxation, investments, money managements, etc...
