Wala pa ka matawo, bay, nagbasa na ang mga katoliko sa ilang bibliya. Hilom lang mi, dili mi ninyo kasagaran makit-an nga magbit2x sa among bibliya unya mag-syagit2x sa among nakat-onan. Dili pud mi ninyo makit-an nga mag-una2x og pangataki sa laing mga tinuohan. But make no mistake here. We are reading our bible.

Pastilan. Tsk.tsk.tsk...

I would just like to add one thing. The main purpose of the bible is to bring humanity to the knowledge of God's unfathomable goodness and eternal salvation. For those of you who are outside the Catholic Church, just ask your question with the simple, unpolluted motivation of seeking answers as to why we believe what we believe. It may differ from yours of course but the bottomline is, it's up to you whether to accept it or not bec. after all this knowledge didn't come from us but is based on centuries of hammering it out at Church Councils and Sacred Tradition.

I'd like to share this video with you guys and I hope that you watch and listen with an open heart and mind.

"Our family is made up of every race. We are young and old, rich and poor, men and women, sinners and saints. Our family has spanned the centuries and the globe. With God's grace, we started hospitals to care for the sick. We established orphanages and help the poor. We are the largest charitable organization on the planet, bringing relief and comfort to those in need. We educate more children than any other scholarly or religious institution. We developed scientific method and laws of evidence. We founded the college system. We defend the dignity of all human life and uphold marriage and family. Cities were named after our revered saints who navigated the sacred path before us. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we compiled the bible. We are transformed by Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition which have consistently guided us for two thousand years.
We are the Catholic Church. With over one billion in our family sharing in the Sacraments and fullness of the Christian faith. For centuries, we have prayed for you and our world every hour of everyday whenever we celebrate the mass. Jesus Himself laid the foundation for our faith when He said to Peter the first pope, "You are rock and upon this rock I will build my church." For over 2,000 years we've had an unbroken line of shepherds guiding the Catholic Church with love and truth in a confused and hurting world. And in this world filled with chaos, hardship and pain, it's comforting to know that some things remained consistent, true and strong --Our Catholic faith and the eternal love that God has for all creation. If you've been away from the Catholic church, we invite you to take another look.
Ours is one family united in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. We are Catholic. Welcome home."

What Is The Catholic Church ?
    by Bishop Fulton Sheen

"There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church—which is, of course, quite a different thing. These millions can hardly be blamed for hating Catholics because Catholics “adore statues;” because they “put the Blessed Mother on the same level with God;” because they “say indulgence is a permission to commit sin;” because the Pope “is a Fascist;” because the Church “is the defender of Capitalism.” If the Church taught or believed any one of these things, it should be hated, but the fact is that the Church does not believe nor teach any one of them. It follows then that the hatred of the millions is directed against error and not against truth. As a matter of fact, if we Catholics believed all of the untruths and lies which were said against the Church, we probably would hate the Church a thousand times more than they do.

If I were not a Catholic, and were looking for the true Church in the world today, I would look for the one Church which did not get along well with the world; in other words, I would look for the Church which the world hates. My reason for doing this would be, that if Christ is in any one of the churches of the world today, He must still be hated as He was when He was on earth in the flesh. If you would find Christ today, then find the Church that does not get along with the world. Look for the Church that is hated by the world, as Christ was hated by the world. Look for the Church which is accused of being behind the times, as Our Lord was accused of being ignorant and never having learned. Look for the Church which men sneer at as socially inferior, as they sneered at Our Lord because He came from Nazareth. Look for the Church which is accused of having a devil, as Our Lord was accused of being possessed by Beelzebub, the Prince of Devils. Look for the Church which the world rejects because it claims it is infallible, as Pilate rejected Christ because he called Himself the Truth. Look for the Church which amid the confusion of conflicting opinions, its members love as they love Christ, and respect its voice as the very voice of its Founder, and the suspicion will grow, that if the Church is unpopular with the spirit of the world, then it is unworldly, and if it is unworldly, it is other-worldly. Since it is other-worldly, it is infinitely loved and infinitely hated as was Christ Himself. ... the Catholic Church is the only Church existing today which goes back to the time of Christ. History is so very clear on this point, it is curious how many miss its obviousness..."

    @ The SKULLS ...

I see another SMARTASS COMMENTS nimo , you know what is coming towards you maksi unsaon nimo ug lihay igo jud ka .

    @ EVERYONE ...

After my post , I better be seeing forumers doing this the right way .

People will ask question about the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH . Be mindful also , I know the questions rthat are being asked and the person who asked it knows already the answer but still would ask for the sake of discussing things to start a heated discussion .

It is also obvious that the only people who are in authority or at least in the right mind to answer the question in accordance to the best of their knowledge are the ROMAN CATHOLICS themselves . I dont care if ang mangutana is atheist , a different Christian denomination , muslim , etc . The point is , it only makes sense that ang mga Katoliko ang mo tubag since they would know it more than anyone else .

Lastly ... if natubag na gani ang questions ninyo , I do hope na enlightened mo and if dili mo kuntento , ask a FOLLOW UP question instead of ARGUING , whats the point of asking if you dont agree with the answer ?

I will be watching this thread like a hawk . be mindful of you guys and gals say here . I dont want to see any bashings here , if ganahan mo mag bash , maybe start a new thread yet as we all know , there is no room for that here in the forums either so discuss it INTELLIGENTLY .
