TS I'm kinda sick and tired with this kind of thinking or topic..I came from Mindanao and ever since some people wants Mindanao to be a country or independent. Up to this time I believe this is what many Muslim rebels fight for.. A Bansa Moro..The government could only give an autonomous region..(if you understand that).. Lives had been shed for this...

Now here again...Why?

I don't know if some politicians want an empire or what By promising naive people of "glory" or 'Beauty" in independence...

i believe it's just innate and natural for individuals the tendency to be independent as they grow older. It's very biblical for a person once he feels his mature enough to get separated from his family he grew up with and make his own family. the same case applies to a bigger picture. Our Philippines, I think, once struggled for independence from other countries. You're right. The big question is Why? When we want to be independent, there is also a tendency that we also want to overpower the weaker parties.

according to some it's because ang atong funds daw adto punta dayun sa capital which is Manila.. then ang manila ruh nag maka benefit..

This is the part i hate most We always claim that our national langauge is FILIPINO. But read our FIlIPINO books...they are always written in TAGALOG. So what represents the FILIPINO language is not the whole languages in the Philippines taken as one, BUT the TAGALOG language alone. I'm just talking about language here.... But this applies to everything, from tax to politics... It's always centered in Manila.
