Chapter I


I was home, and I slept until 1:13 PM. When I woke up, I texted my girl immediately. There was no reply, I was very worried because I expected more from what was happening to us. I called her and the service is not available and her phone is unreachable. I am missing her that much. Could that be the warmness of her palm rubbing my palms too? I guess not. The feeling of being beside her, the companionship. I know that my jokes were not as laughable and easy to digest, but she seems to place me always in pace about what we were talking. I just miss her.

On the second day, that was an election for barangay officials if I am not mistaken, a text from her came. I was very excited reading it. "I'm in _____, (southern part of Cebu). I will be coming back there in the city tomorrow."

Another night to wait.

The very next day, I texted her. What time would she be arriving. And a reply came around 1:53 PM.
"I'm on my way, riding a Ceres Bus number 5096."

A regular guy from TC would never care taking a bath daily, weekly or monthly. I just have an express ligo. With my two months unwashed denim, a boxer and a plane white shirt.
