There are two things you need to consider when understanding what the Engineer meant to say:

First, Filipinos should plan for their future. This is not just for Call Center jobs since this is for all types of jobs where in Filipinos tend to be just contented with what they have now rather than planning for a better future. You must up the ranks and keep that ideal in mind. Most Filipinos don't do that. A manufacturing operator can stay in a company for more than 20 years and just be an operator. Its the same sickness that will kill our industry and and not just call center jobs.

Second, Philippine Government should change the working condition of the Filipino People. I would rather get a job at Php 15,000 per month at a call center than be at a Hospital being a Nurse for just Php 6,000~8,000 per month. Let's be practical. Php 15,000 is bigger than Php 8,000. It can provide more. That should be the focus of our Government.

This is quite simple to comprehend; it's people's choice wether they want to work in a CC or pursue other careers. Let's not just put down or belittle this CC industry coz fact of the matter is - CC helped many people in having a decent salary.

I don't care about what that indian guy said,. Maybe that's what happened in india coz most of them are stupid and ignorant and arrogant and uneducated bastards. But i don't see that happening in Cebu coz cebuanos are smart to begin with.
You belittle the Indians so much. Although they can be a-holes when you work with them but there are really, really a lot of smart Indians. I work on IT/Software BTW and I'm not an Indian, hehehe. India has even more top universities than us here in the Philippines.

OT: it's not the bank. it's the store. You walk into, say, istore or power mac and ask them how much ang macbook. They only give you one price. If you press how much if cash they will tell you it's the same.

That's just the half of it. Magmanya man gani siya na imo siya gi insulto yet it doesn't bother him to insult indians.

It's the communication gap bro. At one point, I thought that these guys must be SLOOOOW in the way they act. Then I realize, speaking in another language is no easy task. They have a hard time relaying that info to me.

I sympathize with them because when I work in manila magkanga2x baya ko magtinagalog. It's frustrating and depressing na maglisud ka storya sa imong teammates where collaboration is very important.

Well let's not lie to ourselves, while bpo can have a diverse set of services the majority is call center. Kung kita ka ug BPO job fair what do you usually see? Call center gyud.

    Thanks Bro.
But then, you went to the wrong store. There is 1 in SM where cash is given discount. I never buy from iStore or powermac.

Apple sets prices so I better not divulge the store name. Example: Octagon has different prices for cash and charge (iPad2)

    Thanks again.

how true! animation, claims processing, video, gaming, medical services, etc.
These are non voice BPO services.

If people think BPO is call centers, they are too narrow minded or they are refusing to face reality. or they don't know!
