Among other reasons I switched to Nikon 'cause I believed in its durability considering it did not see the need to establish service centers like its nearest competitor.

Does this mean Nikon will now be flooding the market with brittle DSLRs like its competitor who gained foothold in the number of service centers - not in sales!

I never had any problems with my Canons for the last 5 years.
Nikon was a different story....That's why I switched to Canon.

I hope this doesn't become a Canon vs. Nikon thread. If you bought a Canon, then don't bash Nikon and vice-versa. I assume we bought DSLRs coz we want to take photos that are not constrained by the limitations of PnSs. I have friends who own Nikon and while we jokingly bash each other's systems, it's alright because we're friends but here in Istorya, let's just say that there are people that are too emotional about their systems and have short fuses.

I'm happy that Nikon has finally decided to open a service center. Esep esep on D90 and 35mm, he he. Nabuing na, Canon + Nikon. Oi Tiks, kanusa man next en-you-dee-ee session. Pang imbita sad intawon oi.
