I always shake my head whenever I hear someone say "high-powered" or sometimes even "hay-pawer"...is it only because of how the firearm LOOKS LIKE, that people say it's high-powered? The power of a weapon comes from its ability to penetrate, or ability to stop the target. This usually implies high-caliber or high-velocity. But the funny thing is, murag pag nindot (choya?) ang itsura sa armas or daghang borloloy, the layman would automatically assign the word "high-powered", yet another misnomer.

The only 'high-powered' weapons I see in those pics are:
1) M2 HMG on that HMMWV
2) The VLTORed SOCOM II
3) M134 and those nasty FFARs on that MELB

Do Navy guys carry TOWs?
