You mean unlock? Some use Gevey SIM, price is around 1k to 2k; pricing is seller dependent. Beware their are fake Gevey SIMs being proliferated. On the other hand if you have a CDMA iPhone (Phil. Telco's are GSM) Bayantel was CDMA before but haven't heard from them anymore. it still would have trouble getting signal in the Philippines.
thanks myk101 if we used Gevey SIM, is that only for unlocking then u can now insert another sim to run ur iphone?

iphone 4 which are not factory unlocked can be openlined using gevey sim... there are 3 kinds of gevey sim... gevey pro you need to dial twice 112, gevey supreme you need to dial once the 112 and gevey ultra no need to dial 112 except if your version is 4.4 above....
if you already have a gevey sim, you need to have your regular sim card cut to make it a micro sim card search dave77 he works at jtech in jy squaremall 50.00 pesos pa cut sa sim and 150.00 charge for installation sa gevey sim.
if you don't have a gevey sim yet, try to search nonoyxp he sells gevey sim pro for 500.00, gevey sim supreme for 600.00 and gevey sim ultra at 960.00 if my memory serves me right...
if you have a gevey sim, you can insert any sim cards (must be cut to micro na) from any telcos here in the philippines. although i have read some complaining about sun cellular used with gevey sim supreme or pro coz it reboots from time to time and some said it does not work. but as per my experience, gevey sim supreme and ultra works fine with sun cellular mas nice lang ang ultra kay di na kuti...
hope this info helps......
thanks for the info MahDexie it helps me alot for this actually i'm planning to buy in the US an iphone but my concern is how would i buy my iphone with an 2year contruct in AT&T, and if want to buy unlock iphone from the apple store it cost me a lot of money hehehe

yeap you are right.... gevey sim is actually like a sim tray with circuits where you will put your sim card on top of it....
