Galatians 3:13 says "Christ by purchase released us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse instead of us, because it is written: 'Accursed is every man hanged upon a stake.'" So, it is improper for Christians to use "pagpanguros" in a prayer since it is a sign of a curse.

Kun ato sundon ang imong logic, asa ma'y mas tinuoray nga gi-curse, kadtong gibitay (Christ) o kadtong gibitayan (cross)? So dili diay pud ta angay mo-pray ni Jesus kay gi-curse man diay cya? Murag salikwaot na nga panglantawa, bay.

I-share kuno ang bible verse nga nag-ingon: improper ang pagpanguros. Kay ubay2x ra ba pud sa mga early christians ang gi-persecute sa mga romano tungod lang aning kuros. Nagsayang2x lang diay to sila sa ilang kinabuhi. Sayang, mga pioneer nga christian man unta to sila.

Catechism of the Catholic Church, Number 2283:

We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives. By ways known to him alone, God can provide the opportunity for salutary repentance. The Church prays for persons who have taken their own lives.

Through his death on the cross we are saved.

But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." New Living Translation (©2007)

Again, it is improper to use symbols in devotion to God and this is clearly condemned in the Bible. (2 Corinthians 6:14-18; Exodus 20:4, 5; 1 Corinthians 10:14)

Mura'g imo mang gi-generalize ang tanang symbols, bay. Ang gidili anang mga verse nga imong gi-share, mao ang mga idols - mga butang nga gisimba ingon nga Dios. Gisimba diay sa mga katoliko ang krus ingon nga Dios? Nakadungog diay ka'g katoliko nga tarong og pangisip nga niingon: 'O talahurong KRUS, ang akong DIOS' ?
