Dating Someone Of A Different Religion - Does It Matter Who You Love?

I used to date a girl who was a non-practicing Catholic, but a firm believer in GOD. As you all probably know, I am a non-believer. I have to say, our relationship was smooth overall. She was an intelligent lady, so we always argued when it comes to FAITH, but we always seem to forget it and not take it seriously. I loved it. We always had healthy exchanges when it comes to this topic. It even got to the point where she had to create an iStorya account and we brought our debate in this very forum.

It's easier for an atheist to interact with a believer than for believers of markedly different faiths to get along with each other. It would be easy for a Christian to marry an atheist kay the atheist can go along with whatever belief and practices his christian partner holds (though he won't take it seriously jud hinuon). On the hand, a Christian would have a difficult time dealing with the uncompromising seriousness with which her Muslim partner would hold onto his set of dogmas and rituals. I have friends na uyab sila for many years... Ang girl kay Dating Daan while ang Boy kay Catholic...

Nagkalalis sila kung unsay relihiyon sa anak soon...
Eventhough wala sila naglalis kung asa sila manimba... kay ang guy mukuyog man simba sa Dating Daan but di xa serious sa iya pagsimba didto...

Mga girls if you're gonna date someone outside your faith, do it with someone who has no faith na lang. hehe. ^_^ Aside from the occasional debates (which could actually be interesting basta dili lang mo init ug ulo), di mu mamoblema when it comes to making big decisions concerning your relationship (like which church mo manimba this sunday or asa ninyo pabunyagan ang inyo baby).

I'm quite tolerant to the beliefs of others. It is only in the forums that I morph into a different personality lol. Bitaw, I agree that it is easier for Christians to marry an atheist due to the lack of drama. I find atheists in general to be peaceful people, contrary to what others perceive them to be.

Haha I agree.
I was lucky to have had a relationship with a nonreligious guy, since I don't see myself dating someone who is very spiritual/superstitious (although most of my friends are religious.) It's important to be with someone who shares similar world views as you, especially if your faith is important to you and plays a big part in your life.

It does not matter for me, but question is who is the most inlove. POINT:!? I know a lot of pipol who got married this persons has diff belief in life. One way or the other one has to give up his religion to give way for a reunion/marriage. QUESTION NOW IS WHO WILL GIVE UP?
