    ok what im comparing is
A: MOBO with AGP & PCIe
    B: MOBO with PCIe

naa ba kalahian sa pcie speed sa mobo A & B? paspas jud syempre if pcie coz its d latest tech, but naa ba difference ang mobo A & B pcie speed.

Are you planning this for a new build or do you have an exisiting system with a good AGP card?

If new system... no point in going with a dual slot as u will be using PCI express video card. If naa kay existing card like a 6600GTAGP or 6800 then go with the dual slot....

Wala pa man gyud ma saturate ang bandwidth sa AGP.. naa man gani 7800GS and coming nga X1950AGP. Pero if you are planning for 7900GTX or DX10 cards like 8800GTS /GTX in the future.. go with PCI express..

bro, if your planning to buy a board with both AGP and PCIE to save your AGP based vcard then as i suggested a ULI based chipset because they have a native AGP 8X and a full 16X PCIE support. As far as I know naa sila para sa socket 939. check lang sa mga mobo manufacturer websites. You may try Asrock.

    off-topic sa kadyot beh..

ako pc ba kay pentium 3 ang iya video
kay PCI og itsura , naa pay namaligya
og video cards nga mingun-ana? nya
naa ba limitations ang MOBO sa memory
    sa imo video card?

thread starter, usually the solution of mobo makers that do not use the ULI chipset is that they will not compromise the PCIE which is usually around 16X or 8X. What they usually compromise is the AGP part. They will try to create an AGP interface out of 2-4 PCI buses. Mura ra siya og riser concept. Therefore, your existing AGP video card will run slower than putting it on a native AGP slot. How they do this? most chipset supports 6 PCI buses. So, they will put 2 PCI slots on the board and combine the other 4 so that they could put an artificial "AGP" slot. As we all know, limited ang bandwidth sa PCI compared to AGP thus causing the slowness. I hope that you were able to get my point.

there are several brands and models of mobo with agp native slot and pci-e native slot, and also mobos with pci-e slot only, differences with regards to performance will depends on brand and chipset, if your using an intel processor then intel chipset would be fine on your mobo but a little bit costly, nVidia and ati chipsets are good too sometimes costly, Via chipset instead is the cheapest nut considered stable.
