The road heading from the main highway all the way to Lamac, Pinamungajan was terrible but tolerable. Considering i'm driving an all-wheel drive vehicle. From Lamac to Sibago to Guimbawian (which this lake is located) is much worst. Such in a horrible state, that even motorcycles can even bare pass. And none during heavy rains. Tried another route, this time from Lamac to Punod to Tamburong intersection. Road access here is fairly good, but unfortunately it stops about 400mtrs after Guimbawian where it becomes impassable during heavy rains, even to motorcycles.
So i walked the length till the lakeshore, about the distace of 6-7kms in ankle-deep mud & silt, on roads 7mtrs at the widest, in a heavy downpour. Lake looks promising to fish, caught a few large Snakeheads, some Gobies & Largeheads. Locals in the area fishes the place and fortunately don't use nets.
Conclusion... Best to visit the area during start of summer or just at the start of rainy season. During summer road condition becomes dusky & water level at the lake drops way down. During rainy season on the other hand, road becomes impassable. Unless you have a 10x10 drive truck, or own a vehicle with tracks instead of wheels; then your best mode of transportation would only be the soles of your shoes.
And i didn't bother to take photos, as it was bloody pouring when i visited the place.
OOoooohh..wicked!
so not a great place to chill heheh ..more on adventure...
thanx for the info...
