any PCI-Express video card will fit in ur motherboard, as long as kaya sa imong Power Supply
dont settle on generic PSU's, they are not suited for gaming

a gaming rig is defined as rigs being suited for playing games. you do not include ordinary games, as these can be played by another type of computer (you call the everyday pc of sorts). gaming rigs are mostly of high-speed video cards, high-speed mems and high-speed processors, in other words, gaming rigs are mostly characterized by speed, not of capacities. everything else are secondary but never of less important (like PSU kay muboto unya na imong generic, nyahaha).

btw, dont forget monitor, keyboard and mouse response times. that's why you have these categories as well.

    naks, i missed this sub-forum..

Most may not agree with me and even I may not agree with myself, but for the sake of the general gaming public (uber-gamers, online-gamers, angry bird-gamers), I SUPPOSE:

A decent gaming rig is one that can play StreetFighter4/Left4Dead2 at maximum settings @720p resolutions.

Ex: You may not maximize games in your 1080p monitor, but if you can do away with 1280x720, that's good enough.
You may have a GTX590 but a monitor of 1024x768, then that does not qualify.

Agree, disagree? Or are the standards too high?

    TOO HIGH BRO..

i don't exactly agree with you, but yours is REAL GAMING! i envy you.

your standard is a real exhilarating experience of overwhelming texture | the crisp audio and realistic effects.

but still we can't debunk the fact that for some, Angry(players)Birds is worth spending 4hours of life per session. and they even call themselves professional gamers.

We cannot generalize then what is considered a gaming pc. To be honest, i spend more time playing plantsvszombies/scrabble and demuxing mkvs and m2ts.

A gaming rig, for me, is how you want to define it... IMO, I couldn't care less what other people say... whether it be low-end, mid-end or high-end gaming rig as long as you're contented with what your rig can do, then that's what matters most.. If you want to define your PIII rig as a gaming rig (coz you play chess/minesweeper all the effing day), then by all means, go ahead... again IMO... =)
