honestly speaking, and i'm frank. it's

    BADUY

i gotta go! magpascrub sa ko sa akong body with olive ampersand apricot essence body scrub!

    faet wala koy holiday!
yes I can see you're frank
and the only consolation of reality is that things are not up to you what's baduy or fashionable
and there are just luxuriously expensive things that are easily afforded when said, mentioned or typed rather than being really acquired.

but then you can also speak like you're sophisticated bcoz you have to---its just your only shot at the real thing hahaha

like in some expensive french restaurant or cuisine you are only able to fluently pronounce the entries & dishes well, rather than afford them. hahahahah

dili mu mag barong kay mura congressman or karaan or worst...patay nga gihaya?
Don't take the "piņa" literally.. I'm just pointing out figuratively since I was talking about imagery of our being resourceful..

It's all about how you carry the garb anyway.. and not the suit giving you the look.

what do you mean nga not to take it "literally" nga the piņa you are referring to is the fabric woven from
    dried piņa leaf fibers?

    TS
maybe you're sooo confused between what's sophistication and what's pleasing to the eye

what's pleasing to the eye is subjective
like a young pretty peasant girl naligo sa sapa sa kabukiran--butt naked!!!
is she pleasing to the eye? or sophisticated?

there are some barong which doesn't use piņa wholly.. some is a mixture of different fabrics due to economics.. well dats what I've noticed in barong tagalog.

Barong is good kung naa ko sa pinas I will prefer to use the Barong because it is more comfortable considering the weather...And it is my culture as well..I'm proud of it.

nakadungog ko na sa panahon daw sa spanish era ipasaut ang mga barong sa pinoy para makit an kung naay karga ang hawak nga weapon o hinagiban...

Barong is very fashionable..I'll just hope that one day it will flaunt on the red carpet of the oscars.
