mas costly man ang rode widening.. pero i agree na mas maayo unta if widening kaysa flyover..

costly jud bitaw ang widening but its long term man sad. way gamit ang flyover kung gamay ra ghapon ang dalan. pila na ka decades ang plano mag widening sa mga major thoroughfares pero wa jud natuman.

1) cheap
2) easy to implement, just clear the sidewalk and expand

1) Expensive
2) Very easy to implement since you will be putting a road on top of another existing no more displacement of people beside the road and mostly flyover construction are pre-fabricated so its just a matter of connect the dots...
3) takes a while depending on the budget!!

do you know they hire expert people if flyovers are feasible in a specific place? they hire pipz who studies traffic(mostly foreign nationals pa). so i guess husto gyud rason ngano fly overs. so ayaw nalng mo pa tuga2x ug lalis nila.

sos, way ayo na ilang flyover projects oi kung 2 lanes lang (1 lane per direction). mahimo na nuon nga bottleneck ang flyover. They should learn from the case in the mambaling flyover. Wala man kasulbad sa problema. Mura ug nisamut man nuon.

If they want to build flyovers, they should have it 4 lanes at least. They should think of the future. Lisud ra ba i-widen ang flyover samut na lisud kuhaon. basin instead of it's there to ease the traffic, makasamut na hinuon.

Mambaling flyover? epic fail. worst flyover project in cebu. Imagine a 6-lane highway narrowed down to just 2 lanes approaching the flyover. and now they're planning to build the same structure?

yeah they hire experts but I guess they're not listening to what those experts
and studies suggest. or if not kulang lang jud sa budget mao mu-settle nalang jud ang dpwh sa mga low-cost alternatives which is not good. maayo pa tigumon nalang na nila until maka raise sa amount needed to construct wider roads and flyovers.
