Interesting question - I believe as human beings each of us have our own perception , beliefs about the idea as opposed to changes to an inked idea or a paradigm . Like man across the world would care less about life , than a man in the Philippines would cherish life.

Carl Sagan's thought is an interesting , open thought but my opinion leads me to believe this is an open ended thought charged with how people use the idea. I would think it can be used to better ourselves as humans.

Well, to clarify, I'm not calling ALL scientists delusional. Not all scientists believe with 100% confidence that the whole universe happened by accident, in a random fashion. Most of them simply suspend belief/disbelief with respect to that matter. Why? Because they know that there is no universal, verifiable scientific proof to support that claim.

Bisan nagduha2x pa ang kadaghanan sa mga scientists, aduna gyu'y pipila ka mga tawo (kasagaran kanila dili mga scientists, igo lang nakabasa og pipila ka science books) nga mo-insist gyud nga kuno, the whole universe originated in a random fashion without the aid of any intelligence. 100% gyud ang ilang confidence nga tinuod kanang maong claim. Unya kun pangayoan og proof, igo lang moingon: "Someday, science will have ALL the answers". Mao kana sila ang gitumong sa akong pangutana.

Bisan nakabalo sila nga ang atong civilization halos dili gani makita tungod sa kadako sa universe, nagtuo gihapon sila nga ang ilang panglantaw insakto - the whole universe originated in a random fashion without the aid of any intelligence.

Dili ba mas delusional ning mga tawhana?

it is very clear that there is not yet a certainty in science to prove that there is no supreme being behind everything yet, atheist here make it certain already.

is it because they just want to be in opposition of the believers here?

all science theories about how the universe started are still mere SPECULATIONS.

so why bother pressing down those ideas as the truth?

^^ Mao gyud.

Hence debating on religion and science is a never ending road , but whether it be a blue dot or orange one , people have a right to their opinion.

it's the same old story cause the same old people are debating except for some like you.. this has been like a script already and by and by they suddenly get off the topic and attack,

next thing you knew, the TS will have another thread just like this one

or maybe other things will happen

    that was just my opinion

Atheism did. It gives us the false assurance that everything in this vast and ever expanding universe can be explained using a human construct called science.

For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like men condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to men.
    1 Corinthians 4:9

Because of Sin and disbelief out world is a laughing stock or a spectacle to unfallen worlds.

To the angels and the unfallen worlds the cry, "It is finished," had a deep significance. It was for them as well as for us that the great work of redemption had been accomplished. They with us share the fruits of Christ's victory.

Not until the death of Christ was the character of Satan clearly revealed to the angels or to the unfallen worlds. The archapostate had so clothed himself with deception that even holy beings had not understood his principles. They had not clearly seen the nature of his rebellion.
