the way I see it... ang solution is to decentralize growth by improving the transportation infrastructure to the province. That way ma decrease ang travel time to areas as far north as Lilo-an and as far south as Minglanilia / Carcar...

This will do the ff things:

1. Decongest / Spread out the growth sa cities (Cebu / Mandaue)
2. Allow more residential, industrial and commercial growth sa North and South
3. Bring in added investments since there are now more opportunities for growth both in the provinces and in the city since there is less of a congestion problem.

We cannot just keep widening roads, adding more flyovers and cramming more people per area diri sa cities while sa provinces, pwerteng mingawa... Dapat balanced approach where maka grow tanan properly.

IMHO, train will fast track the development of cebu and it's entire province.

What kind of rail transport? Heavy rail for passengers and cargo or light rail like sa manila?

In the 1930s the americans built a railway from danao to carcar... Pero after it was damaged sa wwII , the railway lost out to the bus companies.


Ang mrt naman, until now, the national govt needs to subsidize the cost of every fare. Also, we may not have enough population to make the mrt feasible.

Akong na notice sa uban countries nga di pa kaayo in-ana ka densely populated, they started with buses then expanded to rail transit.

Perhaps a properly implemented Brt can serve the same purpose and is less costly to operate than lrt/mrt.

We need wider roads, and more access roads. The traffic along Salinas drive is enough to make someone nuts. Escario during rush hour is also hell.

i agree with Lord, more money for those "kurakots", and of course, mas feasible ito. di na kailangan paalisin yung mga nasa sidewalk.
