Actually bai... tagsa rasab ang pinoy nga artist ang ilado sa gawas. Sa imong gipang hisgot, si Arnel Pineda ra ug Charice Pempengco ang ilado gyud. Arnel got famous because of JOURNEY pero Journey's been around for decades. They already have an established fanbase. Charice got famous because of her vocal prowess - she has an amazing voice - and she also got OPRAH as her promoter. She also has David Foster's utmost support... (by the way, David Foster writes a huge percentage of these Karaoke Queens' repertoire). The Others - Sheryn, Sarah, Nina. kutob raman sila sa Filipino communities. Ug mo perform sila sa States, 90% of ticket buyers are Filipinos, the other 10% are boyfriiends, girlfriends,spouses of the ticket buyers.

Pero bisag sikat silang Charice and Arnel, I still wouldn't buy tickets to watch their shows. Although, they do have my respect as talented singers.

Anyhow... a lot of you would disagree pero it's okay, di man sab mahimo nga pareha tag mga opinion.

bro abe nako mu-shift na ka ug tirada, but these artists are great coz of their gifted voice but not really our genre.

Mo support ko sa angay suportahan. I don't support karaoke queens and hacks.. regardless ug asa sila gikan. Dili ni crab mentality (kamo kusog kaayo mo molabay ani nga phrase) .. it's a matter of giving credit to where credit is due. If she happens to write some songs... chances are, she didn't write it thoroughly by herself. Someone helped her with the lyrics, music, and arrangement... and the songs that she supposedly wrote - were obviously not good enough since it wasn't released as singles. (2 Original songs in... pila na kabuok iyang album ron?? Not a very good ratio, don't you think?)

Support mo diha if you think she deserves your support. I'd rather support real artists who makes a name for themselves writing original materials AND actually makes GOOD music.. Artists like URBAN DUB, SHEILA AND THE INSECTS, etc..

First off... unsay imong definition sa usa ka SONG ARTIST? What makes an entertainer a Song Artist sa imong own definition?
Second... ug moderator diay, dili maka voice out sa ilang opinion? These are mere opinions. Take it as it is.
Third.. I stopped posting here `til I got quoted by a member.. of course bai mo respond ko. Before mo accuse ka nga nag una una ko, Scroll Up... palihug.
Fourth .. yes, dili crab mentality. I'm not giving her bad names... I call her a Karaoke Queen and she is a Karaoke Queen. She is a HACK ... if she's not, then tell me otherwise. I am not pulling her down just to make myself feel better. Again, if an artist/performer/entertainer deserves my praise and support, I wouldn't hesitate nga mo hatag ug support... pero no, I do not support Karaoke Queens that does not have one stretch of artistic vein in their body.

Ni ingon ba ko nga akong music maka sakay ang tanan? I've known for a while nga gamay ray makasakay sa akong trip. And I surely doubt na ikaw mismo maka sakay. And vice versa, I wouldn't listen to anything you have sa imong collection. Maoy naka nindot sa music kay to each his own. WE ARE SIMPLY VOICING OUT OUR OPINIONS ABOUT A CERTAIN PERFORMER... nothing more, nothing less, stop acting like I stole candy from you.

Why would you take offense anyways?? Ikaw ba ang gi ciriticize? Ingon ana ka ka-mabaw??
Bai - You can criticize any of my Gods and I would take NO offense at all... criticize Kevin Shields all you want (He's one of my idols) `til ma pudpod imong mga tudlo.. and you won't see me act like someone killed my dog.

@articuno_2005: wala man siguro ni ezra gidaot si sheryn but the thing is that sheryn is not his choice of music, anyone of us has different taste, like myself i don't idolized sheryn even if my friends or my wife would put me in for free in the concert, i really don't watch coz she's not my type of music. although sheryn has a good voice but not really a good artist kay sige ra man kanta ug covers, unlike others nga sige jud buhat own songs. but anyways we do have our own opinions & thats what makes it mine. so peace bro

Trigger - I don't think Sheryn is capable of writing/arranging her own stuff. She was simply a Karaoke artist to begin with... she's limited to that. She is by no means a musician... she's simply an entertainer. To come up with her own rendition of another one's work is way beyond her. Manghod ra ni siya gamay sa MYMP.

Damned - the problem with Sheryn is that she doesn't sing it better than the original (based on the stuff I see sa ASAP). It's good na naay entertainer nga ni sikat nationwide nga gikan sa Cebu, (VIVA Cebuanos) ... pero sa tinuod lang, her voice is not that good. She screams most of the time. I find it annoying more than anything else.

laina pud anang manghud lang gmay sa mymp.. i think maayo man morevive ang mymp... the moment nga madungog nimo ang songs (sa mymp), makaingon dayon ka nga si juris ning tingoga.. and i think nindot na nga quality sa usa ka singer... tingog palang kabaw na ka.. hehe
