This 2000 year old book is inconsistent, preaching love on one hand but has too much primitive and needless violence, most of it "divinely" approved. Didn't it ever cross your minds that these are the writings of power-hungry men?
The deity portrayed in it isn't very inspiring either, he's got quite a temper when he doesn't get his way: a big, dumb spoiled brat. I thought he was supposed to be all-powerful, but if one of his puny little creations have the nerve to oppose him, he gets all the others into a war just to spite that disobeying little sucker.
