I don't find it cheap, especially when I also somewhat like the girl... Remember my days in elementary when my classmate hand me a letter telling how much she liked me and if we could be sweethearts... I immediately turn the page over and write a big "OF COURSE!"...

But in cases like the guy doesn't like the girl, he'll just simply start to spread rumors that he doesn't like for a girl to do the first move.. hehe..
