Where is it written that istorya.net is intended for cebuanos ONLY?
To TS:
Anyways, welcome to istorya.net TS. I'm sorry to tell you that this post:
"ah ganun SUS GINOO anyway mama ko cebuana pero d ako kasabot kunti lang hehehe . pero ang sa akin lang since this site is existing sa internet world dapat po kung anu ung national language natin gamitin i mean ENGLISH and TAGALOG i don't care if istorya.net names itself dko naman alam e peace!"
exemplifies imperialist Manila, that's why you got some unkind replies.
Cebuanos/Visayans are proud of their language. So, with all due respect, I disagree with "pero ang sa akin lang since this site is existing sa internet world dapat po kung anu ung national language natin gamitin i mean ENGLISH and TAGALOG i". Sa inyo lang nang national language. Filipino was rammed down our throat by imperialist Manila.
P.S.:
I'm only using English so we can understand each other.
For such a small country whose land area would fit in one US state, Filipinos sure like to find differences amongst each other rather than things all Filipinos share. With that said, none of you have given the TS an answer. Instead of welcoming and teaching the iSTORYA way, many of you would rather defend what you think iSTORYA is, not what it really is.
What I am about to say now is not iSTORYA's official stance on this matter, but I can only hazzard to guess that it is what most Admins and Moderators will agree with me ... that even though iSTORYA started out in Cebu, our reach has gone nationwide ... and internationally. I for one do not live in Cebu and you will rarely see me posting in Cebuano. Filipinos from all over the world and all over the Philippines are welcome here.
We are a community that includes people ... not excludes them. We are a community that welcomes those we know, those we know little about, and those we don't know. We welcome the diversity of Filipinos. We welcome the diversity of the world. We welcome the differences amongst us for the diversity of Filipinos makes the Philippines strong and the diversity of all people make us undeniably human. We welcome differing opinons. We welcome those who are marginalized. We welcome the beautiful and the homely. We welcome the tall and the short. We welcome the geniuses and those who need a little more exposure to the world. Come one, come all. iSTORYA welcomes you. All we ask is you are polite to your fellow forumers, respect each other, and that you follow the rules.
Thank you, Sir.
may pag didto siya sa PinoyExchange kay belong siya didto..![]()
@ zomba, welcome. hope you enjoy your stay here. you'll find learning a new Filipino language fun just as i enjoyed learning tagalog, a bit of ilonggo and some waray.
