what one photographer does is bring a pack of fresh dollar bills. after he shoots he has the
person sign a very simple release form and gives a dollar.

actually, the long form is better, because it covers everything that should be released to the photographer. the short form's reference to "all rights to reproduce" is actually limited as it covers only the "right to reproduce". a lawyer imaginative enough can punch a hole through this in case of dispute...

of course, as abort said, models would find the long form intimidating since they'd need a lawyer to explain to them what it really means.....

we could change that then to "own and reproduce"

but that was more or less the "simple model release" the guy uses

and add "For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and legal sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged," to the start
to indicate that the person was paid

but if you're shoting a crowd of people and you and the crowd are standing on public space... then it's considered open season

This should cover it, more or less....:

"For good and valuable consideration, receipt in full of which is hereby acknowledged to my full satisfaction, I, __________, hereby assign to __________, his representatives, heirs, successors and assigns, all my rights pertaining to any photograph he has taken of me for purposes of illustration, advertising or publication, or for any other lawful purposes, and in any lawful manner or form."
