Default Save your relationship from sinking

I saw this just this morning... its really helpful points for those you guys who would choose to be spend a lifetime together.

Like everything, relationships have their good days and bad days, and while many will last through the ups and the downs, some will struggle to stay afloat. Make sure your relationship makes it through the storms by looking out for warnings. Here are a few things to help you iron out the creases.

Make sure that you find some alone time together, no matter how busy your days or week is. When couples are busy there can be little time for communication and spend time together, but the relationship will suffer because of this.

Make sure that you talk through problems, because thoughts, words and needs that are left unsaid will eventually create a negative atmosphere or resentment. Body language and mood between the two of you carry subtle messages and when there is little communication, you become disconnected.

You both need breathing space and your own time, so make sure you have a life outside of the relationship. You don't need to be joined at the hip 24/7, so have some time to yourself or do things with friends.

Don't take your other half for granted. Most of the time we assume people know how we feel about them, but, telling someone how much you love them or what they mean to you, will reassert their position in the relationship and let them know exactly how you feel.

Focus on the positive aspects of your relationship and what you have together rather than dwelling on the bumps that the relationship experiences. Address and work through problems rather than letting them fester into something bigger. You have to offer something to the relationship and you both need to work at it for love to continue.

Avoid lies, no matter how big or small as they can be damaging and roll out of control before you known it. It's far better to tell the truth, even though it may hurt. As a couple you're supposed to trust one another, but this can be jeopardized by lies and deceit.

Many relationships can be saved for their demise, but sometimes a couple just aren't compatible. You both need to make each other feel important and loved and really work through the tough times if you want to save a relationship.
