    to put things in another perspective viz HSBC
    ======
    HSBC warns vs renewed tightening | BusinessWorld Online Edition

    Gross domestic product (GDP) growth eased to 4.9% in the first quarter, from 8.4% a year earlier, due to government underspending and an exports slowdown.
    underspending won't be a problem anymore since the government promised to spend all surplus funds they have this year

    Inflation, meanwhile, is expected to accelerate in the coming months, fueled by rising food and fuel costs. HSBC said the second half rise in consumer prices would stay above the BSP’s 3-5% target for the year, peaking in the fourth quarter.
    in general "2011 inflation falling below an earlier forecast of 4.7%." good enough, its way below expected..

    the government is slowly functioning to its neutral form which is unbiased to any personal interest but to its constituents only.. slowly but surely..

    kung pasagdan nato ang BLACK PROPAGANDA.. wa gyud tay makitang kausaban ani sa atong nasod..

    Exporters demand BSP act to rein in peso

    "Only the Philippines has gloated over the strong peso, equating it to a strong economy which is not true, argued the export leader-trustees of Philexport.

    In fact, the economy has emerged as one of the weakest in the Asian region with the highest unemployment and underemployment rate.
    "

    kani jack another propaganda against sa inyong PPP...

    "When President Noynoy Aquino failed to even mention the progress of his supposed flagship economic recovery program, the much-ballyhooed Public-Private Partnerships, in his second State-of-the-Nation Address, business started to run for cover. In the middle of a continuing world economic slowdown, Aquino’s failure to say what had happened to his PPP scheme was certainly alarming (as in “wang-wang”) news.

    Indeed, as far as attracting investments is concerned, the Aquino administration has its work cut out for it. After all, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, in a recent study, said that the Philippines remains near the bottom in terms of attracting foreign investments in all of Asia.

    UNCTAD’s 2011 World Investment Report showed that foreign direct investments to the Philippines reached only $1.713 billion in 2010. By way of comparison, China had $106 billion, Hong Kong received $69 billion, Singapore took in $39 billion, India attracted $25 billion, Vietnam got $8 billion and even Iran was able to bring in $4 billion.

    In response to the UNCTAD findings, Bangko Sentral Deputy Governor Diwa Gunigundo said that the Philippines cannot compete with other countries in the region because our neighbors are way ahead in terms of infrastructure and in ease of doing business. If that stinging verdict doesn’t wake up Aquino and his economic advisers, we don’t know what will.

    Of course, the main reason why the government cannot seem to attract investors and why not a single PPP project has been signed this late, more than a year after this administration took over, is simple. Even the Chambers of Commerce of the US, the European Union and Japan (who say that foreign business groups are “100 percent behind the PPP”) worry that government will change investment rules in midstream, renege on its commitments or cancel existing contracts.

    As Austen Chamberlain of the American Chamber of Commerce put it way too bluntly: “You want to be confident that you’ll get your return, that someone’s not going to cancel your contract, that someone’s not going to increase your expenses without you knowing it.”

    its not news seeing figures that we are way below compared our neighbors in terms of foreign investments, international competitiveness, etc AND lets bear in mind that this issue is not that simple. Daghan kaayo issue ga surround ani and dili simplistic approach ang kinahanglan ani.. for one issue na ang 60/40 ownership restriction, high electricity costs, infrastructure, aand many more.. lets blame it to noynoy the hell i care..

    pero bai, you see why i consider your argument as flawed? its because you are making a correct/right decision look WRONG.. a very semblance of black propaganda

    this is a new era that we are starting.. a new hope that we are creating.. a new political landscape that we are trying to build.. WE are sending signals to nations that we as Filipinos won't tolerate corrupt practices both in public and PRIVATE SECTORS even if these will cause the suspension, rescind contracts AND WE ARE MINDFUL of its immediate economic repercussion yet we chose to walk the hard-road, the unpopular way because by this SOON and SOMEDAY we will reap fruit of our deeds today.. bottomline is we are making the world know that corruption is not tolerated anymore..

    bag-o rko nka human basa bai sa balaod ni Obama karon regarding FATCA
    tan-awa ra gud unsa ni ka strikto.. non-cooperative business will be automatically given 30% withholding tax.. bai, ngano in-ani man? becuase they are sending signals to the american business that they are demn serious in thier taxation and hiding it offshore WONT BE TOLERATED and would meet the strictest response available.. WILL THIS POLICY SHY AWAY LEGITIMATE BUSINESS? NO, this very strict policy will level the playing field and is good for business..
    in our case;
    your idea is RESCINDING QUESTIONABLE CONTRACT WILL SHY AWAY BUSINESS, so lets just leave it that way.. is that what you are suggesting?
    pasagdan ang corrupt practice sa private sector para dili ta mauwawan?

    congress is initiating what they call SURGICAL CHACHA aimed to update/amend the restrictive economic prohibitions of the 1987 constitution.. and if you are to make fault na sd ngano wala ni publicly support c noynoy ana, this is what i have to say "bai, you don't have to expose too much, there is this wide political support from the masses that noynoy is enjoying.. you dont want that exposed all the time for all your critics would need is a little vulnerability.. then BANG!!!! they will just blackmail you.." that's how i read noynoy's political move.. and its wise enough for me.. maybe they learned alot from the RH bruhahaha..
