Need help di na nako makasolod sa previous OS.. (multi-boot)

I'm not so sure about this, so any one can correct me. But as far as I know:
Every formatted HD must have an MBR, probably located on the first sectors of it. Dinhi ma-store ang information about this HD (file system, partitions, partition size, etc.). Kung mag-install ta ug OS, I believe nga dinhi usab ma-store ang boot information about ani nga OS. So, kung mag-multi boot ta, I think, only one of the MBR of the harddisks (kung daghan ta'g HD installed) needed to have that boot information sa atong mga OS'es. Kung kini nga specific nga HD dili nato ma-priority didto sa BIOS nga maoy una mo boot, dili sab ta makasulod any sa atong mga OS.
Kung mag-install pud ta ug different OS'es in different HD's independently (meaning: nagtaud ta ug mga HD sa atong computer nga naa na daan pre-installed OS.), kung unsa to nga HD ang priority didto sa atong BIOS, mao ra sab to nga OS ang atong masudlan, unless mogamit ta third party software (ex. Easy BCD, or others) aron mahimoan ta'g multi boot menu. Again, usa ra gihapon ka HD ang naay boot menu. If we boot to the other HD. mopasok ta deretso kung unsa man ang OS didto without passing the boot menu.

So, kung magreformat ta sa atong first HD/partition (assuming a multi boot system) ma-apektuhan/mawala ang boot menu, bisan ug wala ma-hilabti ang uban nga OS, di na ta makaposk didto.

Pero sa kaso nga nag-install ta'g XP, then midugang ta'g install sa W7 to another dirive, consecutively, to have a multi boot system, 'nya kuhaon nato 'tong drive nga tua nahimutang ang boot menu (harddisk containing XP OS), makasulod ba ta deretso sa W7 nga OS? Most probably, yes (but not so sure about this) but not always true.
Naa ko'y experience ani nga kaso before. Inig-boot nako, mag error na dayon sya "NTDLR is missing" or "insert the right boot drive". Pero na-OK na dayon sya, gigamitan nako'g Hiren's BootCD. Naa'y Tool didto nga mo-fix sa MBR ug "fix NTDLR is missing", ayos na dayon. he, he, he.
