Prayer to Our Lady of Mount Carmel

O Mary, Queen & Mother of Carmel, I consecrate myself to you and thank you for the gift of your Scapular, pledge of your special presence and protection.

Be my strength in weakness, my light in darkness.
Make my life your own, wholly centered on Jesus and generously spent for others, specially the poor and those in any kind of need in our midst.

Teach me to listen to God as He speaks to me in His Word, in people and in the events of my daily life.

Make me a bearer of Hope, of Peace and of Joy to all my fellow pilgrims here on earth.

Then when my journey is ended, lead me home clothed in your Scapular, into the kingdom of your Son where I, with all my brothers and sisters, shall love and praise Him, in union with the Father and the Holy Spirit, for all eternity.

Friend and Lord Jesus Christ,
How great You are!
With Your words and Works You have revealed to us
Who God is, Your Father and our Father,
and Who You are: our Savior.
You call us to be with You.

We wish to follow You wherever You go.
We thank You for Your Incarnation.
You are the Eternal Son of God,
but You humbled Yourself and became man.
We thank You for Your Death and Resurrection.
You obeyed the Father's will to the extreme
and for this reason You are the Lord of all persons and things.

We thank You for having remained amongst us
in the Eucharist.
Your Presence, Your Sacrifice, Your Banquet
Invite us to remain always united to You.

We pray for we are in need of their intercession, Like Mary our Blessed Mother, Where at the wedding of Cana who interceded and pleaded before Jesus.
Mary then said... “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:5)

Prayer is an act of humility. We also ask our dear friends for their prayers.

Brothers, pray for us.

We pray to God of course like a child who asked his father for a bike , he goes to his mother, sister, brother to help him & to convince his Father.

in Psalm 103 we pray, "Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word! Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will!" (Ps. 103:20–21). And in the opening verses of Psalms 148 we pray, "Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his host!"

For example, the "Hail Mary" contains the request, "pray for us sinners." If you ask a person to pray for you, it proves that you do not think that he is God

We ask God not to Pray for us for He is already God but to ask that He may grant us the grace that we need. "Give us this day our daily bread"
