Wala pa na siya ma implement sa civil courts , thats right .
Pero arent you happy na you are gay , with a lover , still wroks and earns for a living and most of all , accepted by the society , family and friends ?
The point of my statement is , unsaon man nimo lage kung kapila ka ma minyo and then again and again mangayo ka ug ANNULMENT or DIVORCE ?

im happy. but not totally contented. i want someday to settle down and get married and be entitled to the same right as a married citizen. get access to easier adoption or whathaves. divorce/annulment? if the relationship doesnt work out then that's part of the risk. just like everyone else. but for something that you are still denied to have, like marriage, that only means that it's not yet equal.
we dont request you attend our weddings and all. we only request is that you give us a chance to live life the way you live yours.
That is fair enough . But the irony of it , I already mentione din earlier post that should homosexual Muslims also get married in their own muslim rites , its gonna be nasty . heads will roll , blood will splatter and etc .
Thats the reason why I firmly believed that the GAY COMMUNITY should focus more on legalizing the SAME S3X MARRIAGE in civil courts because it carries more weight . The records in the civil courts are what appears in family code and thats how you can get a leverage of EQUALITY .
Being married in the church doesnt give you EQUALITY . You are only bestowed with a BLESSING from GOD and nothing else . And that was exactly the issue of MCC that created the brouhaha .

Ironic how the Catholic Church prohibits GAY MARRIAGE and denies gays/lesbians the right to holy matrimony, while the Church itself remain MUM about the issue of GAY PRIESTS abusing little children, and seem to just brush it off every time the issue is shoved down their throats.
Talk about hypocrisy.
re muslims, it's the same thing. i only hope that gay muslims will soon find the strength and courage to fight for equality too.
not given the "blessing" by the Church still creates that image that it is not equal. just compare person A and person B, both Christians but let's disregard the sexes. If A is allowed to get married and B is not, then there isnt equality. in my case, id settle for a civil court marriage. im good with that. but there will be people, gays out there, that would wish to be acknowledged by their religion. it will be an eternal clamor for equality in one's neighborhood, in one's school, in one's kin, in one's workplace, in one's country, in one's religion.
the issue was indeed blown out of proportion but that's a good thing. i learned from both sides. i wished whoever read the thread must at some point learned something. i think it was a very healthy argument you had with MCC and the rest. Both great minds. Both very opinionated.
hehehe couldn't agree more with you sir springfield..^^ i'd also go for equal rights lang sa homos ngadto sa civil courts.. coz lisod na if mangau pajud sila ug equality sa church coz it is written in the bible man and woman kay maoy ma.married..
hmmm question lang ko sa imo statement.. havent read the ratio or lesbians and gays.. asa diay ka ani nakabasa bai about this ratio.. kay mura mas daghan man tingali ang lesbians kaysa gays.. though mas saba lang ang mga gays coz it's in them lang pud jud.. dili lang pud ko muhatag reason why mas dali mapansin ang gays.. lisod nah.. but i think lang noh na mas daghan ang lesbians coz in the ratio lang daan IF all guys are straight and all women are straight, mas daghan naman gani ang women, how much more if napa jud gays.. wala lang, napahuna2 lang ko..

dli na siya based on any statistics bai. i dont know how many gays or lesbians are there in the world. it was just a response to the previous comment about the number of gays vs str8 guys, the scarcity of real men. and failing to acknowledge the lesbians.
Why not ? If it does not constitute violence then go on .
That is because you disregrad their identities . The reason for that is , the church doctrines prohibits homosexuality because it is a sin . I already explained that issue that before you can have the SACRAMENT of MATRIMONY , you have to be in the state of grace through the SACRAMENT of RECONCILIATION .not given the "blessing" by the Church still creates that image that it is not equal. just compare person A and person B, both Christians but let's disregard the sexes. If A is allowed to get married and B is not, then there isnt equality.
Its only a wishful thinking because these gays and lesbians you are talking about knows it firsthand that their lifestyle is against the church doctrines .in my case, id settle for a civil court marriage. im good with that. but there will be people, gays out there, that would wish to be acknowledged by their religion. it will be an eternal clamor for equality in one's neighborhood, in one's school, in one's kin, in one's workplace, in one's country, in one's religion.
If the MCC people did it in good faith , who are we to judge them ? Only GOD can judge them yet in their website , which I posted a link that covers a statement about SEXUALITY so they can indeed have s3x with the same gender and can be SACRED since S3X is a gift from GOD .the issue was indeed blown out of proportion but that's a good thing. i learned from both sides. i wished whoever read the thread must at some point learned something. i think it was a very healthy argument you had with MCC and the rest. Twisted isnt it ?

Okay. State of Grace. Im not very familiar with it, but I know that when a man marries a woman, whether mass wedding or special wedding, they only go through seminars. I havent heard of any activity prio to marriage that people go through to be in that "State of Grace." As per my research, "State of Grace" is almost like the stage of Christian Perfection. How many marriage have we allowed in the rites of the Catholic Matrimonial Sacrament which we can straightforwardly say that the Groom and the Bride are in the stage of Christian perfection? Is it even applicable to ordinary people? Can anyone ever be perfect in his Christian stage? As you said, Reconciliation depends on the sincerity. Hmmm...I doubt if the countless women who went through marriage with bloated stomach (ready to give birth) and men who F$%#ED around first before deciding to settle have indeed reconciled sincerely and have reached that State of Grace.
Now, I will go back to what I have been saying.
The wrong that we are seeing in Gays using the rites of the Holy Matrimony is the same wrong that our marrying couples commit. Maybe in different ways, but wrong is wrong, regardless. Are these being strictly observed? I DONT THINK SO.
