What's a piaya?
It is a flat enleavened bread that is filled with (raw) muscovado sugar. It is one of the well known delicacy of Bacolod.
Piaya has a flaky texture and the filling is sweet. The thin coating of muscovado is evenly spread to give out the best taste in every bite of piaya. The piaya has the toasty taste of sesame seeds that adds flavor to the piaya. Being crispy in every bite you to love its chewiness as you eat along.
