The change we need. Who should change? People or Government?

Sir, anywhere in the world, without the government's intervention a state won't be called sovereign

without the government ang atong country dili free from foreign control! your idea that we, the people, don't need the government, is too funny. i'm sorry

we, the philippines, is considered, a state. elements of the state? people, government, territory, sovereignty

kung walay government, sa man? di ta matawag nga state. foreign people would take control in our country, oh well! mao bitaw na akong ganahan! coz i'm fed up with the political system being run by filipinos! what if americans ang maghandle sa ato-a? nindot kaha na!

sabta sa palihug be, set aside sa na ang external affairs and foreign involvement. if people would be willing to help one another without any hidden agendas, do you think we still need officials? i dont think so

Educate the youth! tan.awa ra gud ng mga gitawag nimu nga youth kung unsay ilang priorities! justin bieber, fashion fashion nga walay angay! others kay magkababy at the age of 16? and you hope that the youth will cooperate?

That's what UP's doing right? they're actually training their students to become our future leaders someday. pero sila pay hilig muapil apil ug mga welga, mga activists! As if they are of any help?

Don't tell me ur not confident in urself to educate ur future children to NOT BE INFLUENCED by the media??

take note, that not ALL children are weak to that external stimuli. Only those who lack parental guidance and correct moral developing are susceptible to that kind of "brain washing" by the media.

Those children who are strong willed, intelligent, crave for justice and who were raised by strong parents are those children who do not see media as a factor of influence in their lives.

How do i know this? Look at yourself, look at me, look at every other istoryan posting on this thread. EVen with bieber or gaga all over TV, we all still have the right mind for CHANGE in both the people AND the government.


And secondly, my previous suggestion can also change media. educate the youth early, and they who will then take over the media industry in the future, will change it all.

WE CANNOT CHANGE OVER NIGHT.. so we should change in a more realistic and positive way - and that is through our future.

What'll happen then? If u blame him, will he hear that blame? Will he realize "oh,crap! my bad! i shall now run for office and change myself for u not to blame me!".

U want to change the constitution.. but do u think there are officials now that will listen to that suggestion?? i hardly think there will.

But if u have kids one day, and teach them about the injustice of the constitution, then if ur child, by chance, gets the chance to run for office or even president (u never know), then he/she will change the constitution for u!

Doesn't that sound more practical?

You dont want to change ur character coz u find nothing wrong right? what if the government officials had the exact same perception towards themselves? "there's nothing to change! i shall not change myself!" ... then what progress is there? Those who run the government will not change, and definitely will not change the system.

IF by some miracle, that the system changes, the attitudes of the officials will still be the same, coz they "dont see anything that needs changing in themselves". So even with a new constitution, naa pay under the table transactions, putting taxes in the pockets, itll never stop!

i tried to look at the mirror, and I see something yellow in the background. it reminded me of the cory magic, people power propaganda which was nothing but an epic fail in our country! it was a huge success for the oligarchs, a fail to the rest of ordinary filipinos.
