do you really have to STOP when you LOAD or UNLOAD passengers?

Honestly those stop signs can't get any clearer, its implementing the sign thats the problem.

Although I have noticed the Private sector renting out buses , vehicles , but that is only limited to a very few private schools.

Another part that would need solving in that idea is Change in culture , Jeepney's have been there post WWII from the surplus jeeps present. While we all know we can't congest roads today , how do we change culture of both operators and drivers if this is a road for food on table and users that don't want to either wait for a bus to come or walk to a bus stop.

unsa kaha if kada naay mo violate sa traffic rules...patyon dayun.
Mingawa kaha sa atong mga karsada no?

The fact is we can do that because we just don't have the budget

That is why the current system of things will never change.

That too drastic , a simple solution would be better paying jobs for police, implementation, and stiffer fines.

ahhh, mao ba sir?, i thought no one, discussed it in public, i think sir, if all PUJ drivers will be converted into Bus drivers, mo-sugot guro sila,

if a Bus Company will operate 24/7, i think sir, ma-accommodate sa mga (converted) PUJ drivers ang gin-ana na trabaho,

and if they don't want to be a bus driver, then let'em be a PUJ driver, but the government(LTFRB) must stop franchising on jeepneys and, start franchising on buses, in that way, there will be a slow change on the roads, and time may come, Jeepney culture will stop, hehehehe, remnants of WWII will be put in the museum peacefully

    Just my two cents.

I think we should re-think our antiquated road system, which consists mainly of the basic intersection, rotunda, and flyover. We should also have enough political will to enforce a law that will prohibit private structures built too near the highway. We see some people putting up barbecue stalls (some even have their dining tables and chairs right on the roadside). Some people seem to think that the roadside of a major highway is their personal parking spot or their garage. How can we widen the road when part of that road is private property? Must all progress come to a halt because one man refuses to budge? There must be a solution to this.

If and when we finally have the wherewithal to widen the road, we should think about putting up traffic light-free road interchanges (instead of the usual flyovers) on the major bottlenecks. So what do modern road interchange configurations look like?

    This is the clover-leaf:

    This is the circle interchange:

This is the five-level stack interchange (the High Five in Dallas):

This is the multi-level stack interchange (Shanghai):

    This is the clockwise interchange:

And there's much, much more. Click here to read more about them.
