you know what im thankful that we have this profession why? coz some of my batchmates in hi skul who belongs to the lower bracket (having problems even in elementary math) are now seamen. if not for this profession i dont think they'll be earning what they have now. do you think they'll be earning the same if not taking maritime courses?

that's why these courses(BSMT , BSMAR-E) before have been dubbed as "kurso sa mga bugo" (excuse the term) but that's how society labeled it. entrance exam and standards before are not that high compared to other known courses. in BSMAR-E for instance it is the only engineering which has 4 years to accomplish and only where differential and intergal calculus are fuse into one subject. but FYI, lateley they are increasing the standards, maybe not by curriculum but by the students, high standard scholarship openings attracted academic inclined students to take the course,some even chose it over DOST scholarships, ....during college days, quiz bowls and math competitions and even physics olympics were won by these students.

so IMO, you're wrong about your post saying "dli brayt pro dagko sweldo"

and one last thing, there are some categories for seaman before a seaman has to take 4 PRC exams and now, only two PRC exams...so,don't think you know them all.
