guys ipadayon ang discussion. refrain from posting topics about me, mark and others. as long as you stick to the topic wala jud koy ireport.

napungot na jud ko aning mga OT's ha.

On topic: People power is not a solution. in fact, people power is an epic fail of the philippine history. there have been two people powers, now what? where's progress. well gloria made a difference, but i should admit it isn't enough. there should be a change of government. and we should have a parliamentary type of government

    Good point.

Out there it's a whole new ballgame. People who have money have goons to work for them.

I was a member of PPCRV and NAMFREL's Quick Count in our town when I was still in college, and we would go up to the barangays in the mountains to hold meetings with the people and educate them regarding the importance of exercising their right to suffrage. Sometimes we'd be heading our way home and it's night fall already, when suddenly headlights would shine on us from the darkness on the side of the road.

Though they never did threaten us verbally, but the message was clear. They don't want us educating the people samot na kung balwarte nila. And we weren't even candidates!

So for someone who doesn't have money to win in an election, he has to have a group of people who are dedicated to supporting him, going out there everyday, reaching out and talking to every single voter and letting them understand that the 50 or 100 pesos that the rich politicians gave them is only for today. That they have to look out for their future and choose wisely...

there are 2 ways to look at "people" in your post. "people" - as defined in your thread and "people" - A person (plural: persons or people; from Latin: persona, meaning "mask")[1] is a human being.. So you cant really say that the other definition is not applicable. If you know what I mean....
