* Why chose android over the ipad2?
Ans: You choose android because it is nearer to being a full computer OS than the Ipad 2. As i discussed before you can download and attach files; this I think is the most important feature the android has. You have a downloads folder and a file explorer. For us, this is important because for the office we basically deal with excel, word, and pictures. With the honeycomb OS, we can easily attach these files to any mail service . .. although the ipad2 or ipad1 can probably do this, it is not out of the box.
I know a lot of apple fans will probably get mad at me but this is just a user's opinion. We have gotten rid of our ipad2's and have one more ipad1 for sale. It is not that the ipad is not a "working" device. . . it is just that the android has much better features out of the box.


* Which android tablet should I choose?
Ans: For me, it is basically up to you. I prefer the galaxy tab 10.1 because of its size; it is the lightest among these three and in my opinion has the best screen. The problem that I see with the galaxy tab is its lack of interfaces (usb, sd slot, hdmi slot, etc) but for my use it is quite OK.
Between the transformer and the thrive, i would prefer the thrive since it has all the ports that you need (usb, mini usb, sd card, hdmi). The usb is very useful for digital camera photos which we may want to upload on the go, etc (I even think 3g and 4g usb modems will be supported when it is fully rooted and "played" with by the hackers. The transformer is a good device but I don't need the dock which gives it an extra 7 hours I think of battery (I don't foresee using the device for 16 or 17 hours straight). Also, with the thrive you don't need to purchase a dock since you can just hook up a usb keyboard to the usb port. As I said, the transformer is a good device but thrive just is a more complete package that if it had the same size as the galaxy tab or a little thinner and less heavy then I would choose it over the two.

Again, this is just my opinion and my preference.

These tablets, however with the current OSes, can never replace a laptop or computer but as a quick boot handheld it should have characteristics which make you more productive on the go and I think the android system is much better at this over Apple.

Also, it is worth noting that google has clamped down on manufacturers which try to make too many versions of the android os. This is good since fragmentation which has plaqued the Linux industry would be avoided.

ok ra baya gyud ang transformer bai. it's asus. maayo nga product. mas nadani lang gyud ko sa samsung because of the size. but now i will be probably using the thrive kay ganahan man si kumander sa samsung.

if you want to test out all three office hours lang because the transformer is with the office already.

naa unta toh 8gb nga thrive for 23.5 k but all of them have owners already.

palita nalang ang transformer. . . dili gyud ka magmahay. . . ayaw lang gyud pag ipad kay wala gyud kaayo kay mabuhat. . . we learned the hard way.

nice device by the way. hassle man ang ipad. its a glorified itouch. not to mention the sensitivity and exclusivity of its software and its apps. tho di perfect ang honeycomb, pero daghan naman pud evelopments and progress iya gi buhat since the ypdate to 3.1. just today i recieved an update again, i didnt know kung sa unsa to but ni smooth na ang web browsing.

ayaw namo pag-away uy... kaila ko ani ni lunch, nakapalit nako ug item from him before so di ko magduda kung naa na siya all three devices, the thrive, samsung galaxy tab 10.1, and transformer.

On topic: didto ko sa SM gahapon, naay display didto sa pc quickbuys, nga transformer... pad only, tag 22,995. 16gb nga model.

as for me, murag nausab akong hunahuna, di nalang sa tingali ko mopalit ani. i'm better off buying a laptop instead.
